Our group chose a 25 foot test area 100 feet into the Desert zone. We roped off this area and with
a partner as to no double count our data recorded the number of fruit plants.

My Group chose the X2 test because it showed the required variance for there to be a significant
difference in data recoded.
Question 4
The Scientific method outlines rules that if fallowed in a structured and unbiased nature yield
provable results that can be retested without any changed in the data.

1) Descending air in Hadley Cells (at 30 and 90 degrees N and S)
2) Rain shadow Effect (air descends down from top of mountain range)
3) Cold Ocean (little evaporation then air warms over land)

1) Tucson lays in-between the equators and the 30 degree latitude
2) Tucson is surrounded on a sides by mountain ranges – Blocking weather

4) In Tucson the Pacific ocean is west & the Gulf of Mexico to the south east
C. The lack of standing lakes and aquifers make it extremely difficult to extract water in the
manor as it has been done in less arid environments.
