Insights

A Learning Resource Center is a school facility which contains teaching-learning materials


which the teachers use to enrich classroom instruction.
The Learning Resource Center contains print, von-print and electronic materials. The purpose
of this facility is to enhance the learning experiences of the learner and the teachers in any educational
sector. Each teacher needs a wide range of instructional tools to support and a wide range of
instructional tools to support and enrich student learnings. Teachers use a wide array of teaching
resources to make the instructional process more stimulating and exciting.
The resource materials used are aligned with the curriculum to ensure that outcomes are
attained. The Learning Resource Center has instructional space to encourage students to perform some
activities and to make learning more meaningful.

Printed Materials There’s a lot of books and modules in the library to be used. When
I’m teaching, I use those to

Non-Printed Materials Most of the time I am using manila papers or cartolina to write on my
lessons so that my students could see and be able to understand our
lesson easily
Electronic Materials Since I have a laptop, some tasks are easy for me. I am using laptop
as a tool for showing video presentations as well as powerpoint
presentation.

teaching.

Using learning resource materials in teaching provides several benefits. First, it can help cater to
different learning styles and preferences, making the learning process more engaging and effective for
students. Additionally, it can enhance the depth and breadth of understanding by providing real-world
examples, illustrations, and practical applications of concepts. Learning resource materials can also
make learning more interactive and dynamic, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Moreover, they can support teachers in delivering more comprehensive and inclusive lessons,
accommodating diverse student needs and backgrounds. Overall, learning resource materials can
contribute to a more enriching and impactful educational experience for both students and educators
