Action Contre la Faim (ACF) is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40
countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care
practices. ACF is looking for one (1) Psychologist for its programs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Work place: Erbil with daily trips to field

Type of contract: Fixed-Term Contract of 9 months (with the possibility of extension and/or Open Ended
Contract)

Salary: 1,574,600 IQD + Benefits

Main Assignment:

To actively participate and supervise the implementation of the program in the field (camps) as well as to
provide adapted clinical support to the beneficiaries / families in need.

Main activities:
- Actively participate in the program implementation and guarantee ACF’s
quality standards
- Organize discussion groups and working groups with the beneficiaries.
- Implement sessions on child development and mothering practices.
- Organize discussion groups and working groups with the beneficiaries.
- Organize family mediation sessions.
- Reporting.
Recruitment Criteria:
Degree / Level of studies: Diploma in Psychology–
Professional experience: Experience in clinical psychology, psychosocial or care practices a plus – familiar
with stimulation/awareness-raising methods – knowledge of infant development and nutrition.
Technical skills: Knowledge of child development and Family dynamic – Knowledge on refugee’s/displaced
persons problematic – Knowledge in project management and leadership attitudes - Relationships with
international and local actors – Experience with multidisciplinary team - Strong commitment for
confidentiality .
Transversal required skills: Good organization – integrity – flexibility – discretion –adaptability
Language: English, Syrian Kurdish and Arabic mandatory.
