Are the US and the UK transitioning to carbon neutrality?

Carbon neutrality : réduire les émissions carbones

For quite some time, the US and the UK have been debating on whether they should find new
resources to make ends meet when it comes to their needs. In fact, it is another bone of contention
of conflict between the Democrats and Republicans. However, between talking and doing there is a
difference. Thus, are the US and the UK transitioning to carbon neutrality? We will firstly expose the
political speeches concerning reducing carbon emissions before focusing on the actions of the two
countries.

As we all know, the fight against global warming implies the reduction of greenhouse gases.
Friday 11th of August, the USA announced a massive support to an alternative solution that would
consist of maxing out CO2 of the atmosphere. The US minister of energy has indeed announced
subsidizing a gran total of 1,2 billion of dollars two direct capturing factories of carbon in the air, in
Texas and Louisiana.

Through the federal secretary of energy, JG, Joe Biden’s government said wanting to “put
down the foundations of a direct capturing industry of air decisive to fight against global warming”.
By themselves, these two factories could max out the equivalent annual emissions of 445 000 fuel
cars, while creating 4800 jobs in both states.

The factory will be composed of giant fans sucking in the ambient air in filtering cases.
