Survey and setting out shall be conducted to provide the guide on levels and alignment
for the construction in accordance with shop drawings. Measure the length of routing for
cutting the pipe.
8.2 Mark support at each installation range and install hanger / support with approved
material
a. The PVC pipe routing and location marked to comply with the details stipulated in
the approved shop drawings.
b. Determined wish excavation area nearly public area shall be installation sheet
pile and steel plate for Protection soil collapsing before start Excavation.
d. The ground water will be collected by sump pit located nearest and divert into
existing drainage trench or pump by relevant equipment tools if required.
e. If the PVC pipe is "required to be installed on the concrete slabs and walls, the
steel supports shall be installed in accordance with the approved shop drawings.
However, prior to the installation of the steel supports, the corresponding
expansion bolts shall be installed. The holes to be drilled for installation of
supports shall be properly marked. The holes shall be drilled using an electrical
drill. The hole-size and correct depth as well as cleaning or re-boring shall be
carried out prior to embedding expansion bolts.
f. The clamp / supports shall then be installed and fixed with the corresponding
expansion bolts. The spacing of supports and installation details are shown in

i. PVC connect to flexible will not apply cement for connecting surface. After
assemble the pipe to flexible, tight by pipe belt.
Upon completion of the piping works, leave it to cured solvent cement for proper bonding
before proceed with the leak test.
Drainage and venting system: After installation of piping the drainage and venting
system shall be tested with water to ensure installed system is leak proof. The leak test
shall be performed as described below:
The water test shall be applied to the drainage and venting system either for the whole
system part (section) therefore. For the entire system, all openings in the piping expect
the highest opening shall be closed, and the system filled with water to the point of
overflow. For the system to be tested in section, each opening shall be tightly plugged
except the highest opening of the section under test and each section filled with water
but no section shall be tested with less than a 3m head of water. In testing successive
section, at least the upper 3m of the next preceding section shall be tested so that no
joint or pipe in the building (except the top most 3 m of the system) shall have been
submitted to a test of less than a 3 m head of water. The water shall be kept in the
system or in the portion under the test for at least 15 minutes before the inspection
starts. The system or the part of the system under test shall be water tight at all point.
All joint connections shall be inspected to ensure that they are completely plugged and
wrapped prior to concrete being placed.
Installed formwork shall be leak free with sufficient support to withstand pressure
resulting from placement of grout / concrete and sufficient rigidity and shall be tightened
to maintain specified dimensions and shape and to prevent loss of grout materials.
Form surfaces shall be well prepared and covered with coating material such as form oil
to prevent absorption of moisture and prevent bond with concrete. Incase installation the
formwork of Wall before installation 2 side shall be inspection of reinforcement rebar
completed by NKDM
Grout shall be placed continuously in one single operation without cold joint. After
placement, grout shall be protected from premature drying and excessively hot
temperature. Grout materials shall be approved by the Engineer prior to use at site.
Sewer drainage formwork shall be removed after 24 hours or as soon as concrete has
proven hardness and sufficient to resist damage from removal operations, but not until
the concrete has sufficient strength to support itself. Remove the formwork keep curing
for 03 days. The curing methodology is the following with hessian cloths, fabrics, or
similar material kept continuously wet - to protect moisture loss PE sheet will use.
Backfilling work shall be not more than 300mm thick and shall be properly compacted by
steel plate compactor before laying of subsequence layer of backfill. This process is
repeated until the whole height of the sewer system drainage and surrounded manhole
is filled. Backfilling activities will commence as soon as the fully completed section of the
excavated area is ready to received backfill material and also practically safe for the
other on-going construction activities for remaining sewer drainage system and
manholes.
- Pipe & fittings installation location will be marked by survey setting out.
- Inspection with the engineer’s representative will be carried out while work is in
progress.
- Sample of uPVC pipe will be submitted to the engineer for necessary approval.
- Movement of heavy equipment shall be done under close supervision of highly skill
person when working close to near-by traffic.
- Inspect machines & tools in advance of this use. Handle electrical machinery &
hazardous materials with care established operational.
- All trailers, truck mixer and cranes used for the work must be driven carefully.
- All persons entering the construction areas must be induced in accordance with the
safety plan procedure.
- All operatives must wear & hooked safety belts / body harness during working at
height.
- All operatives being outdoors must stop working during heavy raining and lightning
periods.
- All workers and staff are required to follow the safety regulations as part of the Site
Safety Plan.
This method statement is used for the general installation work. No toxic material is
involved. The General Technical Specification Environmental Management and Fire
Controls, shall be used in order to protect the environment from the installation activities.
Control for material scrap and industrial waste for all of work. All scrap at site work area
shall be moved to the specified area after completion of work every day
