need basic crochet skills to finish the pattern.

Skill level – ADVANCED BEGINNER

Final size of the work with the recommended materials and tools will be about
36 cm; final size of your work will depend on how tight you crochet.

 RECOMMENDED MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

• Yarn Dolphin Baby by Himalaya (100% micro polyester, 100g/120m)

- yellow and main yarn colors (blue or pink) (1 skein)
- red (for the lips)
• Yarn Jeans by YarnArt (55% cotton, 45% polyakril, 50 g/160 m):
dark-blue or red (to tie a bow)
• Safety eyes Ø18 mm
• Soft felt fabric: white and black
• Crochet hook size 1.75 mm and 3.5 mm
• Toy stuffing
• Copper wire
• Medical tape
• Clear glue

ABBREVIATIONS (US crochet terms)):

MR – magci ring CH – chain stitch
SC – single crochet SL ST – slip stitch
INC – single crochet increase DEC – single crochet decrease
х- repeat sequence of stitches HDC – half double crochet
DC – double crochet

Work in a continuous spiral.

Sometimes you will need to crochet shift stitches. A shift stitch is a normal
stitch needed to keep the piece symmetrical. As your work tends to twist when
working in a spiral, some of these parts may go in the wrong place or misshapen.
Please note: these stitches are not included into total stitch number in the pattern.
I recommend using a running stitch marker, so you will see how many shift stitches
you will need to crochet.

 FRONT PAWS
(make 2) size 3.5 mm crochet hook
Start working in yellow yarn color. Stuff as you go.

1. Start 6 SC in a MR
2. 6 INC (12)
3. – 4. 12 SC (2 rounds)
5. 1 HDC, 4 DC into one stitch and close them
together, 1 HDC, 9 SC (12) (VIDEO HIRE)
6. 12 SC

7. (2 SC, DEC)х3 (9)

Make wire frame: do a cut of wire ~ 30cm
length. Make a loop on one tip of wire and wrap
medical tape (as pictured). Place wire frame
inside the arm.

Change the yarn to main color.

8. – 19. 9 SC (12 rounds)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.

 BACK PAWS
(make 2) size 3.5 mm crochet hook

Start working in yellow yarn color. Stuff as you go.

1. Make CH8, crochet from the 2nd stitch from hook 6 SC, 3 SC into one loop,
continue into the unused loops on the opposite side of the chain 5 SC, INC (16)

Change the yarn to main yarn color

Make wire frame: do a cut of wire about 45 cm length. Make a loop on one
tip of wire and wrap medical tape (as pictured). Place wire frame inside the leg (as
pictured).

Stuff bottom part of the leg tight.

20. 12 SC + 4SC (you will finish at the center of back part of the leg).
Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Repeat the pattern to crochet the second leg, but DO NOT CUT the yarn,
continue working.

BODY
21. 4 SC along the leg, CH2, step 4 SC from the end of the round on the first leg
and crochet SC to connect the legs, 11 SC along the 1st leg, 2 SC along the
chain, 12 SC along the 2nd leg, 1 SC along the chain. Place a running stitch
marker, it should go through the center of the back.

 Control a RUNNING STITCH MARKER location, it must go stritcly throug
the CENTER of the back, it may help to crochet stitches to shift if you notice that the
stitch marker goes to the sides.

You will connect the arms and the body in next round:
36. 5 SC along the body, place the arm and crochet 5 SC through the stitches on
one side of the arm and the body simultaneoulsy, 8 SC, place the 2nd arm and
crochet 5 SC through the stitches on one side of the 2nd arm and the body
simultaneoulsy, 5 SC along the body.

37. 4 SC along the body, DEC grabbing 3 stitches (1 stitch on the body, 1 stitch
into the corner between the body and the arm, 1 stitch on the arm), 2 SC

Stuff the body and start making the head.

Leave about 10 cm of wire frame, make a loop on the tip of wire and wrap
medical tape to secure.

 It is time to install the eyes. Cut 2 felt circles dameter 20mm, do an opening in
the center and glue the eyes to them:

Install the eyes into the head between the 52nd and the 53rd rounds with the
distance 4 SC between the eyes.

Crochet several more SC to finish the head on the side line (as pictured). Stuff
the head tight.

 Put the head together and work through the stitches on both sides of
the head: 4 HDC, 13 SC, 4 HDC. Fasten off, cut the yarn and hide remaiend
yarn tail inside the head.

1) Cut black mouth (I used black felt fabric). Use the photo as a template:

2) Cut white felt teeth, glue and sew them:

3) Crochet the LIPS: make chain, work in plush red yarn color. Glue or sew it
around the mouth. Start working from bottom part of the mouth.

4) Crochet A BOW: make a chain, its length
depends on your fantasy and the toy size, I
choose Jeans by YarnArt and crochet hook
size 1.75mm.
Tie the bow around the neck.
