Rev-Trac Insights, a change intelligence technology
for SAP solutions, incorporates the Migration
Workbench, an advanced transport reporting
engine for impromptu checks. That allows users to
manage custom transport lists and experiment
with sequencing while leveraging Rev-Trac’s
pre-emptive safety checks, including Overtake and
Overwrite Protection Systems (OOPS), Peripheral
Object Dependency System (PODS) and Code
Impact Scoring System (CISS). Combined with
dynamic real-time apps – Propagation, Chronological,
and Comparison – and existing functionality, the
technology provides instant visibility from the
transport layer down into an organization’s ABAP
code and objects.
With the Migration Workbench, users can select a
list of transports from their SAP migration queue and
run ad hoc safety checks to ensure that they will not
impact the target system. These checks, in addition
to comparing object versions, monitoring work in
progress, and even quickly finding specific pieces of
code, are just a few examples of Rev-Trac Insights’
powerful functionality.

By monitoring change activity and then providing
specific data to appropriate stakeholders, users can
interpret Rev-Trac Insight’s data and act quickly
to make improvements or avoid unscheduled
systems downtime.

a customizable reporting format – for example,
changing the selection parameters is a way of
customizing the report.

Software overview

Packaged within a maintenance-free virtual

appliance, Rev-Trac Insights creates an external
repository of all custom ABAP code and objects
for easy access and analysis. The intelligence
provides focused, up-to-the-minute insights into an
organization’s custom code and objects in use or in
development.

Both the current and historical states of custom

ABAP code and objects are covered.

The Migration Workbench, Chronological,

Propagation, and Comparison apps require a few
transports to be imported into each licensed system.
