(BUHLE, KGOMOTSO, PALESA)

CRUX: Buhle arrives for dance practiced and is mocked by the

school bully for getting kicked out of the Memulo.

BUHLE arrives for dance practice and she is immediately met

with curious stares from the other girls. BUHLE tries her
best to calm herself down. PALESA walks towards her laughing.

PALESA
Uhmm have been touched by boys?
outchea acting innocent. That’s why
you got kicked out of the uMemulo.

BUHLE stands quietly. The Girls chuckle in the background.

PALESA (CONT'D)
Who am I fooling, which boy would
want or hit on a poverty stricken
low life. Even township hoodrats
were allowed at the Memulo. It’s
this face of yours that screams “I
need a plate of food.

BUHLE swallows. PALESA moves closer looking at her head to

toe, she notices a scratch on BUHLE’s arm.

PALESA (CONT'D)
And that scratch? was it the fence
as you while you tried to sneak
back in?

BUHLE is unfazed.

BUHLE
Not today satan.

The girls gasp in shock, witnessing BUHLE defiance. PALESA

lunges at her, but KGOMOTSO arrives just then and gets
between them.

KGOMOTSO
You bullied your way into entering.
I don’t remember sending you an
invite.

PALESA retreats, nursing her wounded pride. Kgomotso turns

around to check on BUHLE, but she’s gone.
