1.0 Methodology

Descriptive research aims to describe a population, situation or phenomenon


accurately and systematically. The purpose of descriptive research is, of course, to
describe, as well as explain, or validate some sort of hypothesis or objective when it
comes to a specific group of people. This part presents the methods that were
employed to achieve research objectives. It is structured into research design, local
respondents, target population and sample size , research instruments , and data
collection and data analysis.

1.1 Research Design

This study adopted descriptive survey research design. Descriptive Research


Design is devoted to the gathering of information about prevailing conditions or
situations for the purpose of description and interpretation. Comparison tables and
figures were used for data presentation.
Random sampling is one of the simplest forms of collecting data from the total
population. Under random sampling, each member of the subset carries an equal
opportunity of being chosen as a part of the sampling process.

1.2 Locale

The locale of the study was in Puregold Libertad during the year of 2024.

1.3 Population and Sample

The population of the study has a total of 100 respondents who are selected out
of thousands of buyers in Puregold, Libertad.

1.4 Research Instrument


The research instrument was used to collect the data on “Effectiveness of
Service quality and customer satisfaction on loyalty as perceived by the selected buyers
of Puregold, Libertad was a modified questionnaire which was composed of three parts
namely:
Part I: Demographic Profile

Part II: Perception of Effectiveness of Service quality and customer satisfaction on


loyalty

1.5 Scope and limitations


The main purpose of this study is to find out the advantages and disadvantages
of Effectiveness of Services quality and customer satisfaction on loyalty perceived by
the selected buyers of Puregold, Libertad. The data collection will be conducted for 25
buyers for every barangay. Consist of 4 barangays gaining a total of 100 respondents
out of 7,020 buyers. This study will be done with the utilization of questionnaire to the
respondents as a survey of reference. Through this strategy, the researchers aim to
achieve the research goal.

1.6 Data Gathering and Procedure

The validate questionnaire was submitted to the adviser for validation. Then, the
researcher submitted a letter and sought the approval and endorsement of the dean.
Next, the researchers personally distributed the data. Finally, the data was collected.
1.7 Statistical Measurement
The following statistical tools were use:
1. For sub-problem number one on the demographic profile, percentage as used
with the formula.

Where: P=percentage
f=frequency
n= total numbers of the respondents
for the sub-problems two on “Effectiveness of Service quality and customer satisfaction
on loyalty as perceived by the selected buyers of Puregold, Libertad” Respectively,
weighted mean was utilized with the formula below.
