DISTRIBUTOR CONTACT REBUTTAL BOOK


Q: “WHERE DO YOU SELL?”
A: “We’re an ecommerce business. We sell online, primarily.”
A: “We’re an online retailer. Do you work with any online accounts?”
A: “We’re an ecommerce business. We sell on all the major
marketplaces. Do you guys work with any ecommerce accounts?”
A: “We have our own website at mywebsite.com, but also sell on
eBay, Amazon, Walmart, ect.”
A: “Everywhere online primarily. We have our own website at
mywebsite.com, we sell on Amazon, on eBay, Walmart sometimes.”

Q: “DO YOU SELL ON AMAZON?”


A: “Yes, of course. We’re an ecommerce business, Amazon is one of
our largest platforms. Do you work with any online sellers”?
A: “Yes, we do. But we also sell on our own website and try to push
traffic there. We sell on eBay, on Walmart, we sell on Amazon in
Europe. We’re more than just an ‘Amazon’ seller.”
A: “Yes, of course, we sell everywhere online. But it also depends on
what your policies are. If you have a certain product we can’t sell on
Amazon, we won’t, so It’s up to you. Do you guys work with any
Amazon sellers?”

Q: “DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE?”


A: “No, not at the moment. Right now we’re just focused on
growing our online sales. Does your company work with any online
accounts?”
A: “No, not right now. We’re more focused on growing our website
and online business. Do you work with accounts who sell online?”
A: “No, not at the moment. We have a commercial location, but it’s
more of a warehouse that handles our shipping & receiving.”
A: “No store, just a website. We do everything online.”
A: “No we don’t, maybe in the future. Right now we’re doing more
online than we ever would in a brick & mortar so I’m just focused on
that.”
Q: “DO YOU HAVE A WEBSITE?”
A: “Yes, it’s…….”
A: “No, not yet. We’re working on one, but it’s not live yet”
A: “No, not yet. Right now we’re primarily selling on the marketplaces
like Amazon and eBay and focusing on growing that.”

NEXT STEPS
Ideally, it would be best if we can get a pricelist without having to go
through the hassle of actually opening the account. This would be a
good time to ask for that, as well as other questions we may want to
ask them:
Q: “Is it possible for you to send me a pricelist as well with the
new account form?”
Q: “Is it possible to get a pricelist first, or have some
information about pricing before we actually open the account? The
reason being, I want to make sure that I’m not wasting your time if
I open the account and don’t buy anything”

ASK FOR DISCOUNTS


In wholesale, discounts are standard practice, and going through a
pricelist with, or without a discount can make a BIG difference in your
success. Now is a great time to ask about one:
Q: “And what type of discount can I normally expect off of
the wholesale pricing?”
Q: “And just a ballpark figure, what type of discount is
there usually from the wholesale pricing?”
Q: “Is there a sales rep who will be handling my account?”
This isn’t a big negotiation, just an simple inquiry about our actual
pricing. We can always negotiate later, but for now we’re just trying to
get a rough idea about a typical discount.”
Q: “I know all the discounts may vary by product, or
customer, or how much you buy, but just so I can have a general
idea – is it safe to say 10%, 20%, just as a ballpark figure, I know it
might change?”
