What were the best and worst parts of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar?
The best parts of my Senior Project were decorating for the dance, seeing the children having fun,
and seeing my fundraising make a difference In my school.
The worst parts of the Senior Project were finding a date to host the dance with no conflicting
scheduling and keeping clear communication between everybody.
List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
I now know how to effectively budget for an event, how to communicate professionally with
others, and how to advertise to a whole community, rather than one school.
Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How
did you feel about and react to this challenge?
The most challenging part of my Senior Project was finding a way to reach out to community
members with young children. It took a lot of brainstorming and communication to achieve a good
level of advertisement.
How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work
habits, capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
The Senior Project has changed me by helping me learning effective budgeting tips for events, how
to communicate with businesses professionally, and solidified my confidence in event planning.
What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior
Seminar process again?
If I redid my Senior Project I would do multiple events in order to raise more funds for the
Backpack Program. I would add two more small events like a game and/or movie night.
What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification
do you have for that grade?
If I would give myself a grade for my Senior Project it would be a B+. I completed all of the hours
and my fundraiser was successful, but there were a few things that I had forgotten about last
minute. I was able to gather everything before the event, but my organization could have been
better.
