A. Conversation
 is done casually, exchanging thoughts, opinions, and
information with your friends, family, neighbor or even to
an acquaintance.

B. Dialogue
 is a form DYADIC communication
 More FORMAL, PURPOSIVE, and INTIMATE

EXAMPLE.
VERBAL The child exclaims, “I love you” to his mom before he leaves the house.
NON-VERBAL The couple holds hands while they are in a dinner date.

First Sentence: one-way dialogue happened between a child and a parent


Second Sentence: couple shared INTIMATE moments together (holding hands) non-verbal
C. Interview
 Most FORMAL and PURPOSIVE communication compared to
conversation and dialogue
 JOB INTERVIEW and RESEARCH PURPOSES

EXAMPLE.
VERBAL The interviewer and interviewee exchanged greetings before they start the
interview.
NON- The two of them SHOOK HANDS after the interview.
VERBAL

First Sentence: wear formal attire; requires formality by GREETING the interviewer

Second Sentence: formality by SHAKING HANDS after the interview

CONFRADIA banned Spaniards and mestizos from joining without Pule’s permission.
