Standard 6 - Assessment

Artifact #1

Artifact Teacher Work Sample - Assessment Plan

Standard CCTS.6. Assessment.

The teacher understands and uses multiple
methods of assessment to engage learners in
their own growth, to document learner
progress, and to guide the teacher’s ongoing
planning and instruction.

Standard in Your Own Words The instructor is knowledgeable about

evaluation techniques and uses them to help
students grow personally, track their progress,
and provide guidance on the ongoing
preparation and instruction of the teacher.

Indicator 6 (c) Works independently and collaboratively

to examine test and other performance data to
understand each learner’s progress and to
guide planning.
- The educator can successfully
examine test results and other
performance data both individually
and in tandem to determine each
learner's development and to inform
planning.

Description of Artifact The artifact comes from my Teacher Work

Sample Where I had to craft five lesson plans
that were all focusing on multiple learning
objectives. a part of the teacher work sample
is assessing how you are going to implement
those lesson plans successfully as an educator.
The assessment plan includes a formal
graphic organizer that breaks down all of my
learning targets/objectives for my students
including every assessment form used in my
teacher work sample

Rationale The artifact fits the standard and the indicator

because the assessment plan for any unit or
lesson being taught is crucial. Because it can
be used to demonstrate to students what they
need to learn in addition to what they already
know. Throughout those lessons, my students
were evaluated in a variety of methods such
as beginning with a pretest and ending with a
post-test in between there are practical
exercises such as worksheets. By assessing
my student's work I can then develop better
and more thorough plans for how they can
achieve the learning targets/objectives.

Artifact #2

Artifact Google Classroom - Grade Book

Standard CCTS.6. Assessment.

The teacher understands and uses multiple
methods of assessment to engage learners in
their own growth, to document learner
progress, and to guide the teacher’s ongoing
planning and instruction.

Standard in Your Own Words The instructor is knowledgeable about

evaluation techniques and uses them to help
students grow personally, track their progress,
and provide guidance on the ongoing
preparation and instruction of the teacher.

Indicator 6 (g) Effectively uses multiple and

appropriate types of assessment data to
identify each student’s learning needs and to
develop differentiated learning experiences.
- The teacher knows how to effectively
create personalized learning
experiences by making use of a variety
of acceptable assessment data types to
determine each student's unique
learning needs.

Description of Artifact The artifact for this standard is the Gradebook

that is included when using Google
Classroom. Using Google classrooms
Gradebook serves several purposes for
educators. having a great book provides a
centralized location for educators to manage
and organize grades for assignments quizzes
and other assessments. This helps me keep
track of my student's progress more
efficiently.

Rationale This artifact fits the standard and the indicator

perfectly because with Google Classroom's
gradebook, Educators can quickly put grades
view overall class performance, and provide
feedback to students. this streamlines the
grading product process and saves time
compared to traditional methods like paper
grading. the Gradebook also allows both
Educators and students to easily access grades
and feedback this promotes transparency and
communication in the grading process as well
as helps students understand their strengths
and areas of improvement.
