Greetings Engineer Oliveros,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am Precious Gem C. Villanueva, a Grade 12 STEM Student at San Miguel
National High School. We have a capstone project titled “COCOEARTH: COCONUT (Cocos nucifera)
SHELL AND CLAY AS BRIQUETTES”. Focuses on the great alternative of lump charcoal known as
wood charcoal to reduce carbon emissions using economic materials.

As part of our research, we are looking at the compressive strength or compressibility of the briquettes to
see if they are suitable for extended usage. We believe that conducting tests on these parameters will be a
great help to provide crucial insights into the structural integrity and performance of our briquettes.

We kindly ask your permission to perform a compressibility test at your university and would welcome any
support or direction you can offer in this regard. We are delighted about the chance to collaborate with
