Norse Mythology:

Norse mythology is the body of myths and legends originating from the North
Germanic peoples, particularly the Vikings, who inhabited the Scandinavian region
during the Viking Age (8th to 11th centuries). The mythology comprises stories of
gods, goddesses, giants, dwarves, and various mythical creatures. Central to Norse
mythology are the Æsir and Vanir, two groups of gods who engage in conflicts,
alliances, and adventures. The most prominent gods include Odin, the Allfather; Thor,
the god of thunder; and Loki, the trickster god. Norse mythology also features rich
narratives of creation, cosmic battles, and the end of the world known as Ragnarök.
Despite the Christianization of Scandinavia, elements of Norse mythology have
persisted in Scandinavian folklore and literature.
