☐ How did you enter the room? Did you smile? ☐ Did you initiate the conversation with a self-introduction & handshake? ☐ Did you note the interviewer’s facial expression & body language? If you did, did you try to match it?
HOW DID THE QUESTIONS GO?
☐ Did you elaborate on your answers? Did you tell a relevant story so the interviewer could remember you? ☐ Were there any questions that caught you off guard? In what areas? ☐ Were there areas that were not explored? These are topics you had prepared for but were not asked about such that you did not get a chance to share the information. How could you have included the information without being asked? ☐ Were there technical issues that you should have been better prepared for? What could you have shared?
DID YOU USE YOUR PORTFOLIO? (ONLY IF REQUIRED)
☐ Did you manage to show off your work – either in a physical document or online? ☐ Did you present your portfolio well? Was the interviewer able to see it clearly? ☐ Did you talk the interviewer through your portfolio? Did you highlight aspects of your work so the interviewer could note them? ☐ Were there other items that you could have included to better show off your work? Certs etc.
DID THE INTERVIEW END ON A POSITIVE NOTE?
☐ Did the interviewer seem interested in knowing more about your work? Did he ask for more samples etc? ☐ Were you asked about your salary or asked when you could start? ☐ Did you remember to ask when a decision (on the position) would be made? ☐ Did you thank the interviewer? ☐ Did you leave a name card?
