AREA OF EXPERTISE

 To perform preventive, corrective and diagnostic maintenance on the process control

system and control loops.
 To remove, dismantle, overhaul, repair and install pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic,
electromagnetic control system such as control valve, actuators, servo valves and
measuring devices in the field or in the workshop.
 To perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site, as well
as during scheduled shutdown or unscheduled shutdown.
 To comply with all company health, safety and environment as well as work permit,
policies, procedures and Lifesaving rules.
 To troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and test various types of process control
instruments, which include pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, digital etc.
 To participate activities in emergency shutdown, breakdown & startup activities as
and when required.
 Coordinate and prepare various documents such as test, inspection reports, and
safety approval prior to implement of work.
 Ability to handle with clients complaints related to CAR and NCR.
 To ensure that all inspection and test records are properly documented and made
available for Able to read and understand instrument drawings like, piping &
Instrumentation diagrams, Instrument loop diagrams, instrumentation block
diagrams, hookup and others.

NATURE OF JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for provision of the required quality technical support in the area of
instrumentation & control systems.
 Management plan, regarding certification, permits & color codes. site supervision,
materials, manpower & site management.
 To supervise and ensure proper maintenance of materials and to advice on
technology and modification required to attend regular meeting with clients,
architects and consultants and keeping them informed of progress report to project
manager.
 Ensure that all contractors involved in construction activities implement execute
their approved QA/QC programs, HSE meeting, including provision and required
documentation.
 Construction and pre-commissioning during activities like Utilities, Boiler, GTG and
Steam turbine to check and rectify corrective, troubleshooting of instruments and
replacement of the faulty instruments and coordinated with the vendors.
 Review/Plan execoution of works on instrumentation activities such as installation of
instrument JB, Conduits, Layout installation of cable trays, Cable pulling primary &
secondary, termination of cables, loop continuity, loop checking, work includes
installation of heat tracing, impulse tubing, instrument stanchions, air line and
conducting leak testing.
 Coordinates with engineer and team leader about work priorities study plans,
drawings prepare, materials, equipments and tools needed for the specific activities
in the plant. distribute manpower, monitor daily accomplishment for daily and
weekly report.
 Ensure scope preparation completeness review and hands experience in PLC, DCS,
SCADA, ESD, PESD systems, field instruments, cabling, JBs, LCPs, field HMIs,
transmitters, detectors, vibration & speed probes, communication systems, field
panels, control valves, loop checks, marshaling panels, system cabinets, PSU, CPU and
operator consoles.

  Perform preventive / corrective maintenance maintain instrument workshop /
validation of calibrators and to indentify required spares and consumables.
 During the construction phase assume responsibility for integrating incoming plant
personnel in to the effort to correctly inspect, calibrate, repair, refurbish and install
all plant instrumentation. Assist with monitoring installation of all plant
instrumentation to ensure that it is installed as designed.
 Identifies potential hazards during commissioning activities, participates in technical
meetings plant Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) audits, Hazard Identification And
Risk Assessment, Performance Tests, Punch Lists and provide support to
maintenance and operation teams in various stages of project activities.
 Coordinate with engineering, project execution department, operation, maintenance
teams and with all relevant stake holders and resolve relevant technical issues,
Punch Lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages till the projects are
successfully commissioned and handed over.
 Ensure PTW, SIMOPS, MOC and STT various project interfaces so that shutdown
activities are properly planed for effective execution.
 Participation in up gradation project during shutdown.
 Calibration, Field maintenance and installation of control valves with SMART
positioners of Fisher, pneumatic and electro pneumatic positioners.
 Experience in Invensys TMR Plant emergency system and CCC anti surge control
system.
 Performed Loop checking, Field maintenance, Function Checking and installation of
Bently Neveda, speed and vibration systems.
 Performed calibration, Stroke Check and maintenance of Solenoid operated On/Off
Valves, Emergency Shutdown Valves (ESD,s) and MOVs of make Biffi, Rotork etc.
 Used various test and calibration instruments like Druck pressure and temperature
Calibrators, Fluke Pressure and temperature Calibrators, Druck field Current
Calibrators, HART Communicators of Emersion-375/475 and Terex.
 Top Worx and GO Limit switches and Position transmitter’s calibration.
 Checking of vibration probes used in Compressors (Axial & Radial) and Pumps.
 Experience in Flame scanners, ignitors for GT ,incinerators and furnaces.
 Site supervision, materials, Test device, equipment, manpower and Site management.
 Evaluate subcontractors monthly progress bills as per work progress.
 To plan, schedule the work and efficiently I can organize the site / facilities to meet
and agreed program of deadlines.
 To oversee quality control and safety matters on the site and ensure that regulations
are adhere to.
 To supervise and monitor the site labour force through General Foreman or
Supervisors, monitoring the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per
customers satisfaction.
 To develop a relationship with the project engineer and prepare periodical reports
on the progress.
 Inter acting with systems vendors for SAT, FAT, Logic test, Sequence test and startup
activities.
 Supervise the instrument subcontractors engineers work to ensure that instrument
and control systems are properly installed and function as per the system
requirements.
