The example of:

Misinterpretation: A hug from a fellow person in different gender can be interpreted as an expression of
gratitude. But in Indonesian culture it can be considered as sexual advance.

Ethnocentrism: If there is a graduation ceremony and it is required to wear traditional clothes, many
people wear Javanese traditional clothes compared to other customs.

Stereotypes and Prejudice: in Indonesia, the Javanese are known for their gentle disposition and the
Batak are known for their strong disposition.

a. Word Order: how to identify word classes by looking at the position of words in a phrase or
sentence structure. Example: Pecco wins the race
b. Inflexional Affixes: affixes to words that do not change the word class. Example: visited
c. Derivational Affixes: affixes to words that change the word class. Example: beautify,
beautiful.
d. Prosody: The patterns of stress and intonation in a language. Example: record
e. Functional Word: how to identify functional word by looking word in the surrounding.

The difference between detective and mystery stories:


1. Detective works for a crime. while mystery can be as unusual phenomena like supernatural or crime.
but audience will not solve the crime along the story, they can enjoy the plot along the stories.
2. In the end of the stories, mystery can be solved or remain unsolved. While detective will reveal the
answer.
3. A detective story will involve the audience to the story so that they will participate solve the crime
along the story. While mystery, audience will not solve the crime along the story, they can enjoy the plot
along the stories because the plot is well structured.
Teaching grammar in English which used as second language is one of challenge for English teacher. We
know that there many levels of grammar. So, the first step is I will give the formula from the easiest. Then
I will give the example. After that I will read aloud the example for many times and the students will
repeat after me. I also will ask to students to make another example. This method not only will help
student to remember the formula, but also students will used to speak English easily without memorize
the grammar formula. After I give some grammars, I will give an evaluation test about the material to
measure their understanding.
