ANNA – “I do not speak up for you, but I show

you how to speak up for yourself.”
BALDWIN
Anna Baldwin has been working for
Centering Pregnancy for 5 years. She did
not undergo any specific schooling to take
on her job position but completed training.
“Her Story: I started as a Centering
Pregnancy patient. This program
helped me so much during my
pregnancy. After 2 years, they hired
me into the program. We also just
ANNA BALDWIN hired another former centering
pregnancy mother. I believe this his
helps encourage patients that it does
not matter how they start. What
matters is how they finish, and we
help them make a very strong finish”

• Different every single day

• Set up rooms based on who is coming in for a session which can include anywhere from 2-
12 people.

• Each session is different and focuses on different aspects of pregnancy, labor, and being a
new mother. They consist of activities that relate to the education in that session.

• After each session, patients are sent home with supplies, a verbal thank you, and a
congratulations for getting through another session and being one step closer to their
strong finish.

• For example, session 5 is based on comfort during labor!

CENTERING PREGNANCY?
• Centering Pregnancy provides education consisting of 12 weekly sessions throughout a
woman’s pregnancy, including what to expect during pregnancy and how to navigate the
several changes she will face. With the standard of care beginning at 16 weeks, that is when
sessions typically start. The sessions lead up to delivery and after delivery as well, if desired.

• Positive self-imaging is also provided by Anna Baldwin to help women prevent and
overcome PPD.

• They help patients look for housing, counseling, pediatric care, and adult care.

• They provide pack-and-plays, car seats, diapers, wipes, educational ABC safe sleep lessons,
educational car seat safety, and group care connections with other mothers in the sessions

• “I am able to see our moms grow into the women they are becoming through the
healing process. It is rewarding knowing we provide support to women who do not
have it already and we become a family to them at centering pregnancy. I am able to
see how my job impacts women every day and it is very rewarding.”
