Results

In the findings of my research, it has been revealed that 46% of the last one hundred

videos contained themes of satire. As well as being in almost half of Noel Deyzels most recent

posts, 60% of videos to reach over one million likes were videos based around satire. Videos

with themes of satire also show success in their views with only five videos in the last one

hundred having less than a million views. While satire was one of the most prominent themes,

there were many smaller themes throughout the last one hundred videos (Table 1 Below).

It was also found that the products Noel Deyzel sells are also common throughout his

videos. While only eight videos were direct advertisements, Ryse products could be seen or

were casually mentioned in 23% of the last one hundred videos.

The most seen feature of Noel Deyzel’s videos was the addition of visual subtitles for

these videos. While it seems like a small and subtle detail, it makes it much easier for these

videos to be seen by users who have their volumes turned down or have no way to listen to the

videos. Of the last one hundred videos, 82% contained these subtitles over the words spoken.

The last two major categories that were prominent were statements or advice for the

audience. Combined these two categories consisted of 27% of the last one hundred videos

posted. These videos aim to help the audience with any challenges they may be going through

and help give them hope for the future (Figure 1 Below).
