To Whom it May Concern,

It is with great honor that I have the opportunity to recommend Zitlalic Barragan. I’ve had the
pleasure of observing Zitlalic’s learning over the past three years at ECHS both in the classroom and
on the field of competition. She is a hard worker, outgoing, responsible, and is passionate about
improving the culture and environment of our school.

Zitlalic is a great leader. She is a go-getter in our Link Crew, acting as an advocate for others on
campus, meeting and mentoring freshmen as they navigate a difficult year. Additionally, I’ve been
able to see Zitlalic compete on the tennis team as I was her JV coach for 2 years. She is a quick
learner and a team player.

Her 4.0 GPA speaks to her desire to be great academically, but I have seen her shine socially and as a
campus leader, as well. She is the first one to volunteer for new projects, not fearing failure, but
embracing the opportunity to make El Capitan better. She is also currently in our “careers in
education” program, and volunteers at a local elementary school an hour everyday.

I love the fact that Zitlalic is planning to become a teacher. I have no doubt that she will be amazing
as an educator because I’ve seen her in action with her peers. It is an honor to give her this
recommendation.
