SANITARY SEWER

The sanitary sewer system is a series of underground pipes that transport wastewater from
homes and businesses to the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Here, it’s treated before entering
Lake Simcoe. Flushing anything other than human waste can cause problems with the
plumbing, municipal sewer lines, the Wastewater Treatment Facility and the environment.
