The day began with an orientation of the suggested activities by the school principal,
Sir Glendo C. Claudio, with the teachers. Sir Claudio emphasized the significance of Catch
Up Fridays in addressing academic gaps and fostering a positive learning environment.
Following the orientation, the students proceeded to their respective classrooms for
the start of Catch Up Fridays session. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as
teachers implemented engaging activities designed to assess the students’ current
academic standing. Teachers utilized various instructional strategies to cater diverse
learning styles and diagnostic assessments were administered.
The orientation and first day of Catch Up Friday marked a successful start. With
strong foundation laid through comprehensive planning, dedicated teachers, supportive
school principal and active participation from students. The program is planned to make a
positive impact on the academic journey of the students throughout the academic year.

A. PRE-READING
1. Activate prior knowledge.
Singing songs/ games/ and or chants related to the story to be presented.
2. Use flashcards to highlight unfamiliar words to determine the meaning.
3. Motive questions related to the story to be presented.
B. DURING READING:
1. Introduce the story
2. Reading Aloud
a. First reading is done by the teacher.
b. Second reading is done by the learners through choral reading.
3. Word-picture association to determine the meaning of the unfamiliar words.
C. POST READING:
1. Use the unfamiliar words in sentences.
2. Think pair and share the constructed sentences using the unfamiliar words.
IV. Collect all the outputs for progress monitoring of the learner.
