Abstract
In Plasma Physics, Applied Mathematics has a variety of applications.
Mainly I studied the applications in study of solitons. At first, by numerical
investigation, Zubusky and Kuruskul found that solitary waves retain their
identity after colliding. This particle like behavior led authors to introduce
the term solitons.

A solution is a special solution of non-linear PDE (wave equation). I

computed solution of KdV equation, KP equation, ZK equation by Direct
integration and Tangent Hyperbolic Method. Tangent Hyperbolic method is
more powerful than direct integration method. Solution of KdV burger’s
equation KP burger’s equation, ZK burger’s equation can only be computed
by Tangent Hyperbolic Method. All of these computations were done using
Mathematica.

Solitons have applications in Applied Mathematics (water waves, optical

fibers, and electronics), High Energy Physics (Particle Physics, Gauge
theory, String Theory), and Pure Mathematics as well.
