About IIIT Ranchi

Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi, is an autonomous institute that was established in the year 2016 by the
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). It is an "Institute of National
Importance", declared by an act of parliament.

In this endeavor, the Government of India, the Government of Jharkhand, and private partners – Central Coalfield Limited, Tata
Consultancy Services, and Tata Technologies Limited – are working in unison to establish an Institute that bridges the gap
between academics and industry. The combined effort will create a pool of skilled Electronic Communication Engineers,
Computer Scientists & Engineers readily employable in the industry.

IIIT Ranchi is responsible for a project involving the 14th regiment of "The Grenadiers". It included digitization of the battalion’s data.
The project was completed by students of pre-final year of bachelor's program.

E-Vidya Vahini

Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L), Jharkhand aims to create an integrated digital
platform called e-Vidyavahini to ensure robust governance of the school and effective service delivery.
e-Vidyavahini shall serve as single centralized dynamic platform for monitoring of all key parameters
to ensure effective delivery of quality education to all the schools in the state.

Arogya Sahiya

Sahiya (ASHA Workers) in Palamu have been trained on diagnosis of signs and symptoms of the
subjects and on the basis of this training they are expected to council the subject (case). For their help
an Android Based Mobile Application, has to be developed which upon entering basic data of the
subject suggests the next steps. IIIT Ranchi proposed to create a platform for the Sahiyas.
