Final Test Unit 2

1. Read the text and chose T or F for each statement: 10 points.

Sport and a healthy lifestyle are very important. Today, not many people in the UK eat
healthy food or do enough sport. In fact, a lot of people spend too much time in front of the TV
or the computer.
In 2012, the Olympic Games were in London. It was a great year for sport in the UK. After
the Games, many people started to play sport. Andy Murray won the gold medal in tennis, and he
became a national hero. He's a good example to young people because he works very hard. He
trains every day, and he doesn't eat fast food. Now there are more sports clubs in the UK and
many people go to the gym.
There are also more cycling lanes in cities. People can rent bikes in London and other big
cities. This is a good idea because it's cheap and easy to use. In the past, many people didn't use
to ride bikes because they were expensive. Now it's different. Cycling is a great way to get fit
and it's fun. There are also many parks with running tracks and places to do exercise. It's
important because you can't always run on the streets. In the evening, it's dangerous and there are
lots of cars.
Today, more people understand that sport is important for our health. It's true that we have
more free time than in the past, but we need to do more exercise. We should walk or cycle to
work if possible and we should spend less time in front of the TV. We need to eat more fruit and
vegetables and fewer sweets and hamburgers. If we don't do this, we'll have more problems with
our health. We could be overweight, or we could have heart problems.
