SUMMARY OF THE Harry Potter is a notable individual in the wizarding world known as
BOOK the Boy Who Lived. He's the only wizard or human who has escaped
the clutches of the antagonist Lord Voldemort.

Harry successfully escaped Voldemort's evil plans in all of the

preceding books. However, Voldemort also successfully came back to
life stronger than before, reviving his magical prowess and his army
of dark arts users, the death eaters.

Voldemort did everything to get Harry Potter in his clutches and fulfill
his prophecy, effectively taking over Hogwarts, the well-known
magical school for wizards, and infiltrating the Ministry of Magic.

Harry was under a protective charm from the sacrifice and love of his
mother, which kept him safe until he was of legal age (seventeen in
the wizarding world.) Now, the charm has been broken as he
reached the age.

This did not undermine his eagerness to destroy Lord Voldemort's

evil plan, however. Instead, he set off to find the remaining
Horcruxes, sacred objects in which Lord Voldemort has stored parts
of his soul, as Dumbledore instructed him before the former
headmaster died.
Together with his best friends, the very brilliant Hermione who came
from a muggle family, and Ron, a red-haired and courageous pure-
blood, they intend to destroy all of these Horcruxes to strip
Voldemort of his power and make him mortal.

The three of them faced many challenges along the way but they
persevered through these obstacles. Along their journey to find the
remaining Horcruxes, they discovered the secret of the Deathly
Hallows: three magical objects which if possessed, make one a
master of death.

The Deathly Hallows include an elder wand; the most powerful of all
wands, the resurrection stone; a stone that could bring the dead
back to life, and an invisibility cloak; a cloak that could never be
penetrated and would keep you invisible.

Eventually, they made their way to Hogwarts to find the last Horcrux.
Along with their other friends from Hogwarts, they defended the
school and it became a bloody battleground.

Many died during the war but Harry, with the help of his friends,
successfully destroyed all of the Horcruxes and made Voldemort
mortal and possible to defeat again.

At last, Harry finds himself face-to-face with Voldemort, and against

the line to fulfill their destiny. “One must die while the other
survives.”

Voldemort has the Elder Wand clasped in his fingers, ready to attack
Harry and end him once and for all. However, the Elder Wand wasn’t
truly in his possession as he took it for himself from Dumbledore’s
grave.

It was revealed that Draco Malfoy, Harry’s nemesis, discharged

Dumbledore and that the wand was truly possessed by him.
However, during the fight at Malfoy Manor, Harry also successfully
discharged Draco and the wand rightfully recognized him as the
master.

With the power of the Elder Wand, Voldemort was gone, and Harry
and his friends were triumphant.

Harry destroyed the Elder Wand to ensure that no other greedy

wizards would seek its power and they all reunited with their loved
ones.

Fast-forward to the future, Harry was married to Ginny, Ron’s sister,

and Ron and Hermione were married to each other. They, too board
their kids at platforms 9 and ¾ and set them off for the train to
Hogwarts.

POSITIVE ASPECTS OF
THE BOOK (you may refer a. The world-building is immersive.
to page 5 flow of essay>Body)
*you may add more if needed
One of the many positive aspects of the book includes the author J.K
Rowling’s creativity and world-building. As the Harry Potter series is
leaning into the fantasy genre, it is expected to have its unique
attributes as a fantasy story. Its magic world, also known as the
wizard world, became the central focus of setting the location and
scenes of the story. The world includes a hyper-immersive school
with a detailed magical curriculum, mythical and made-up places,
objects, plants, creatures, words, and ideas that are exclusive to the
‘Harry Potter’ world itself with their background and history. These
aspects along with the idea of secrecy add a mysterious depth that
captivates the readers to immerse themselves in the world of Harry
Potter.

b. There is an emotional depth to the story.

Harry Potter is a series comprised of 7 books following the years of

Harry Potter and his friends at Hogwarts. However, out of all of
these books, the book that struck readers most emotionally was
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is because it is the last book
of the series and the conclusion of the story marks the end of the
series. Not only that, it also provides more in-depth and realistic
emotions from the focal characters as they journey towards the most
confusing, dramatic, and climatic moments of their lives. It revolves
around inner conflicts, friendship, betrayal, trust, and hope. Other
scenes such as the propaganda of students to fight for their rights,
the sacrifices of other characters for the greater good, and the
deaths of most beloved characters are also part of the emotional
impact that the last book of the series specifically possesses.

c. It leaves a satisfying resolution.

The most crucial part of ending a series is the resolution. It must be

impactful and moving to wrap everything up with a message. The
ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows leaves a surreal
understanding of what happened after their victory before the
timeline was fast-forwarded years after. It also leaves an impression
on each character and hinted a new generation of the series. The
resolution not only satisfied the readers, but it also gave them a
part-taking lesson with a lasting impression.

a. The story has holes and inconsistencies.

Some scenes don't fit in or are completely unnecessary which only

makes the story jampacked and confusing. There is an inconsistency
in the storyline and the author's attention to detail, too, where some
chapters are written in intricate detail while some become fillers and
rushed. This aspect could become distractive and unmotivating,
especially to more critical readers.

b. There is a mystery in the development of other characters.

The book has limited characters which are focal over the series and
POINTS FOR the independent story. However, some of these supporting
CONSIDERATION characters could be considered far from minor as they played a very
(what you don’t like about the
big part in the story. Characters like Luna, Neville, Ginny, Cho Chang,
book or perhaps the parts that
could be improved) and Hagrid play a huge part in shaping the storyline but they didn't
get the chance to provide an in-depth explanation of their
development which leads to story plot holes.
c. There are many unclear and confusing detours
throughout.

The Harry Potter series always follows a distinct timeline wherein

each book starts with summer break and Harry's birthday and always
ends during the end of their classes and term. Even though the main
characters halted their education in the 7th book to go on an
adventure, the falling action still falls and occurs at the same time as
the end of term. Due to this strict attention to the timeline, there are
a bunch of detours and confusing fillers which sometimes could be
unnecessary and underwhelming.
The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book is a thrilling
conclusion to the Harry Potter series. The book is filled with action,
emotion, and memorable moments. The book ties up loose ends,
reveals long-held secrets, and so provides a satisfying resolution to
Harry and the villain, Voldemort. The captivating blend of adventure,
magic, and mystery keeps the readers hooked until the very end.
OVERALL
IMPRESSION OF THE
BOOK We recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the genre fantasy,
(Would you recommend?)
or adventure, or even enjoys including a little bit of magic in their
minds. This enhances our imagination, evokes our emotions, and
successfully indulges the readers in a rich and creative sensation.
This is a must-read for the fans of the Harry Potter series as this is a
fantastic conclusion to an iconic literary journey.
