PROVISIONAL REGULATION
Regarding the conversion befween Vietnamese and ECTS credits
at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City
Pursuant to the Law on Higher Education dated June l8th, 2012, and the Law
amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education
dated November 19rh 2018;
Pursuant to Decree No.99/2019/ItlD-CP dated December 30th, 201 9, issued by the
Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the
Law amending and supplementing a number ofarticles ofthe Law on Higher Education;
Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1982/QD-TTg dated October l8th,
2016, on the approval of the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework;
Pursuant to Circular No,08/2021/TT-BGDDT dated March l8th, 2021, of the
Minister of Education and Training on promulgating the Regulation on undergraduate-
level training;
Pursuant to Circular No.17/2021/TT-BGDDT dated June 22nd, 2021, of the
Minister of Education and Training establishing standards of training programs,'
formulating, appraising and promulgating training programs at the undergraduate
level;
Pursuant to Resolution No.40/NQ-DHKT-HDT dated October 8th, 2021, of the
School Council of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on promulgating the
Regulation on the Organization & Operation of the University of Economics Ho Chi
Minh City;
Pursuant to Decision No.1796/QD-DHKT-DT dated June 30th, 2021, of the
President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on promulgating the
Regulation on organization and management of formal undergraduate trainingwithin
the credit system at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City;
Pursuant to the ECTS Users' Guide 2015 issued by the European Higher
Education Area (EHEA), Bologna Process and European Commission (EC);
At the request of the Head of the Department of Quality Assurance - Curriculum
Development;
The President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city promulgates the
regulations on the conversion between Vietnamese and ECTS credits.

HERIBY DECIDES:
The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credit represents
the academic workload based on outcome standards and related leaming loads. 60 ECTS
credits are associated workload of a full-time academic year or its equivalent, educational
components .
