CHAPTER 1

INTODUCTION
An encouraging the negative of traditional synthetic dyes on the environment is to use natural

dyes made from plant so peel, a byproduct of the fruit processing industry, is one of these natural

sources an interesting potential. Mango peel is a good option for producing sustainable dyes

since it is abundant, reasonably priced, and mostly unused.

of compounds such as carotenoids, flavonoids, and is possible to develop vibrant and diverse

color ranges suitable for different textile applications.

The utilization of mango peel as a dye not only addresses the environmental concerns associated

with synthetic dyes but also contributes to waste reduction and the valorization of agricultural

byproducts. Additionally, employing mango peel as a dye can potentially provide economic

benefits to mango-producing regions by creating additional revenue streams from waste

materials.

The objeces of this research are multi-faceted. Firstly, it aims to investigate the dyeing properties

of mango peel extracts on different types of textile fibers, including cotton, wool, silk, and

polyester, it he dye extraction process to enhance color yield and fastness properties.

Furthermore, the study aims evaluate the effectiveness, durability, and avalability of mango peel

dye compared counterparts.
