BÀI 14 CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN (CONDITIONAL SENTENCES)

1. CÂU ĐIỂU KIỆN LOẠI 1:

Cấu trúc: If + mệnh đề 1 (hiện tại đơn), mệnh đề 2
(tương lai đơn).
Cách dùng: Diễn tả sự việc có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại
hoặc tương lai
Ví dụ:
- If we study hard, we will pass the exam.
(Nếu chúng ta học hành chăm chỉ, chúng ta sẽ đỗ kì thi.)

Lưu ý: Unless...= If not...

Ví dụ:
We’ll go camping if the weather is fine.
(Chúng ta sẽ đi cắm trại nếu thời tiết đẹp.)

= Unless the weather is fine, we won’t go camping. = If the weather is not fine, we won’t go
camping
(Trừ khi thời tiết đẹp, chúng ta sẽ đi cắm trại.)

2. CÂU ĐIỂU KIỆN LOẠI 2:

Cấu trúc: If + Mệnh đề 1 (quá khứ đơn), Mệnh đề 2 (S
+ would + V).
Cách dùng: Diễn tả sự việc không có thật ở hiện tại
hoặc tương lai.
Ví dụ:
If I were you, I would quit that job. (Nếu tôi là bạn, tôi sẽ từ bỏ công việc đó.)

Chú ý:
Trong câu điều kiện loại 2, chúng ta dùng “were” cho tất cả các ngôi.
