MoM for the 2nd batch of joints (with Debbie)

1. 2nd Batch – Around Mid-June

Normal Joints (Similar to 1st batch):
T-Joints = 34
X-Joints = 10

Type-3 (DBBJ) Joints:

T-Joints = 10
X-Joints = 10

Type-4 (SBBJ) Joints:

T-Joints = 10
X-Joints = 10

Trial Joints: 5 (we can try with robotic and manual welding to see
which is better to use for the remaining)

2. Keep control of the weld leg lengths in every layer so that the final output is not more than the required
one.

3. Control on the Heat input by varying parameter (voltage, current and travel speed). Manual measurement
of welding travel speed using stop watch 2 times to take the average.

4. Minimize sparks especially for SCF specimens with pink numbers. We can follow Yancheng’s joint
fabrication procedure.

5. SCF specimens (used for strain gauge analysis) are in pink numbers rest joints are in yellow numbers.

6. Welding position will be marked in-advance and tack weld in mutual presence.
