“Nomad” is a joint Kazakh-French film from 2005. The plot of
the film is based on the second book from the “Nomads” trilogy
by Ilyas Yesenberlin. Tagline: Every warrior, every people, every
love must have its own Fatherland.
Summary
The film “Nomad” is based on real
historical events that took place on
Kazakh soil in the 18th century - the
liberation war of the Kazakhs against
the Dzungar conquerors. The heroes of
the film are real historical figures: Khan
Abulkhair, Ablai Khan, the wise Tole bi,
the leader of the Dzungars Goldan
Tseren.
