1. What is medium?

2. What is technique?
The manner and ability with which an artist, writer, dancer, athlete, or the like
employs the technical skills of a particular art of field of endeavor.

3. What are the different mediums used by painters? Sculptors?


There four common paint media used by artist these are: acrylics, oils, tempera,
and watercolor. The sculptor may choose to work with clay, sand, sawdust, paper,
plastics, or any other soft malleable medium. Sculpture can be chipped or cut from
wood, metal, stone, marble, and other medium to hard classification of objects.
4. Why do the artists differ in their choice of subjects for their artworks?
Visual artist differs in style or method in presenting a particular subject because
art is subjective. These differences affect the artists in various ways and magnitude.
The way people perceive their surroundings and experiences are influenced by their
own backgrounds and thinking.

5. What does the artist express in his paintings?


Many artists express their emotions through their art-making, and the finished art
will reflect that emotion. Other artist may take an image with the hope of creating an
emotional response in the viewer.
