Introduction: (Creating a background)
 Pose a question about how students face problems in their daily lives.
 Show images in ppt how people face problems in a daily life.
1. Class Discussion:
 Ss connect and discuss ideas related to their daily life problems/ issues/ challenges.
 Elicit through guided questions how some problems could be internal based on their decision and
struggles within. Moreover, some challenges could be external.
 Show images of conflict
 Students will discuss and share ideas in response to the images of conflicts.

Activity 1: Reading RJ pg. 30–(Partner Activity)

 Ss read p30 and complete chart giving their example of each type of conflict. (Hint-they can connect ideas from
the read novels)

2. Activity 2: Read RJ p31 ‘The father and is Sons’ -Individual Activity


 Students read the fable individually and attempt Q1 & 2.
 Teacher monitors and gives feedback.
3. Introduce homework:
 Give out homework sheet.
 Go through Question 1 as a guide on how to complete task.
 Announce homework is supposed to be turned in the next day.
