The Institute REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE

Of set up to consider the Procedural Resolution arising from the

Surveyors Annual General Meeting of 1 March 2023.

MANDATE

To consider the re-election of Council members and the machinery thereof:

The following recommendations of the Sub-Committee have been considered by

the Council of the Institute and approved.

1. The Editor and Secretary shall prepare descriptions of Council Work (partly objective

facts, partly various personal views) to increase awareness among members of the

Institute of the work of the Council to appear in the Spring issue of the “Incorporated

Linguist”.

2. Nomination papers to be available to qualified members by 1 August and shall be sent

separately if the “Incorporated Surveyors” is not ready to dispatch in time for this

date. If papers are sent with the “Incorporated Surveyors” there shall be some clear

external communication of their presence.

3. The Committee draws the attention of Council to the need to form relatively small ad

hoc working parties in order to solve particular problems. Such working parties

to report to Council, but their members should not necessarily be members of

Council.

4. If the size of Council is reduced, it shall be arranged that the number of vacancies is

next Annual General Meeting.

HIGHER PURCHASE AGREEMENT is made this First day of January Two Thousand

Twenty-Two BETWEEN VICTORIA JOHNSON of 56 Norfolk Crescent in the city of

Liverpool (hereinafter called “the Licensor”) of the one part and JAMES STEPHENS of 58

Derrymore Road in the City of Glasgow (hereinafter called “the Licensee”) of the other part--

Licensor grant to the Licensee a sole license to manufacture the washing machine in

Two Thousand and Five to sell the said machine within the Caribbean during the

continuance of the afor-said Patent------------------------------------------------------------------

2. THE LICENSE agrees to pay the Licensor an annual royalty of two percent on the net

selling price of the machines made by the license and invoiced by him to his customers

the said royalty to be payable on the Fourteenth day of July and the Fourteenth day of

January of each year for the entire duration of the said patent-----------------------------------

3. THE LICENSE shall keep proper books of account in regard to the said washing machine

manufactured and sold by him under the aforesaid Patent which books shall at all

reasonable times be made accessible to the Licensor for the inspection by him or his

agent-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SHOULD the Employee be absent for more than two consecutive days, he shall supply a medical

certificate IF the Employee is late on more than two consecutive days, he shall be given an oral

warning and if he continues to be late, he shall be given a written warning after which he shall be

suspended without pay-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overtime: When the Employer requests the Employee to work overtime, the rate of pay shall be

one and a half times the basic pay----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Insurance: The Employer shall register the Employee with the National Insurance Board----------

Payment: The Employer shall pay the Employee on the last Friday of every fortnight through the

Employee’s bank------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deductions: The Employer shall deduct from the Employee’s pay contributions for the National
