Data Synthesis

After consensus meeting our initial systematic review that met the

inclusion criteria were included. The condition of geriatric elder individual that

were included are those older adults that are susceptible to neglect, older

individuals that has multimorbidity, with cognitive impairment, female who has

history of abuse in childhood or adulthood, vulnerable ageing individual. The

exclusion of those adult individual that are bedridden, has comorbidity and those

older individuals that has enough support system from family and relatives.

The analysis employed qualitative content analysis based on Graneheim

and Lundman's approach, involving steps such as preliminary readings, unitizing

text, coding, abstraction, and discussion. All previous 50 articles relating to elder

neglect from 2018 up to present were coded individually, followed by

collaborative discussions among the authors. The NVivo 12 software was used

for data management.
