Data Management Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Data Management Assistant assists in maintaining data quality and provides support
to the Grant Manager & Data Analyst in grant-specific and agency-wide data needs.
Responsibilities include data entry; developing and maintaining procedures for data
collection, input, management and quality control; and developing statistical reports for
grant reporting and program evaluation/development. The Data Management Assistant
reports to the Grant Manager & Data Analyst.
Essential Functions:
Assist Grants Manager and Osnium Administrator with ongoing maintenance of the
Osnium database:
Assist with data entry, as needed
Identify problems with data quality and communicate issues with program staff and
supervisors
Assist with regular data review and cleanup to maintain overall data integrity
Assist Grant Manager with ongoing Osnium documentation and training
Assist staff in producing statistics for grant reports and agency planning:
Create routine statistical reports for regular grant reporting and special statistical
reports for grant applications and program data summaries
Assist Grant Manager in the creation and maintenance of database documentation and
instructions
Organizational Responsibilities:
Share responsibility for anti-racist, multi-cultural organizational perspective and the
Steps to End Domestic Violence social change mission
Participate in staff meetings, as appropriate and as schedule allows
Participate in performance evaluations and annual program planning
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Data Management Assistant does not supervise any staff, but should be comfortable
re-directing staff in their performance as it relates to data quality.
Education:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Working Conditions:
Primarily working in an office environment
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
An understanding of database functionality and structure
Experience with database management and knowledge of basic statistics
At least one year of direct experience in data collection, data analysis and statistical
reporting
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines
Ability to work well in a team environment
Experience with federal grant requirements is a plus
