1 SUMMARY

2 Discuss relationships of the study to previously published work, but do not reiterate or

3 attempt to provide a complete literature survey. The objective for the research being reported,

4 and its significance, originality, or contribution to new knowledge in the field, should be clearly

5 and concisely stated. Do not include or summarize current findings in this section.

6 Cite appropriate references. Citation of authors in the text should appear in one of the two

7 following forms. At the end of a sentence include the author and the year between parenthesis

8 (First and Second, 2006; First et al., 2007). If you cite the name of the author, include the year

9 between parentheses: according to First et al. (2007). Initials should not be included in these

10 citations.

15 The origin of special apparatus, reagents, and biological materials used, should be

16 described. Reagents normally found in the laboratory and preparations described in standard

17 textbooks or texts should not be listed. Specific experimental methods should be sufficiently

18 detailed for others to repeat the experiments unequivocally. Omit details of procedures that are

19 common knowledge to those in the field. Brief highlights of published procedures may be

20 included, but details must be left to the literature cited. Cite references as described above.

24 Divide this section in so many subsections as needed. If you need to divide a subsection, do

6 Results and discussion may be presented in separate sections or combined into a single

7 section, whichever format conveys the results in the most lucid fashion. Divide this section in so

8 many subsections as needed. If you need to divide a subsection, do not use numbers. Include the

9 title is italics as indicated above.

11 3.2. Subtitle Two

12 Data should be presented into either tables or figures, but do not repeat the data. The tables

13 and figures should be mentioned in the text consecutively and numbered with Arabic numerals,

14 and inserted at the end of the manuscript. Tables and figures should be carefully designed to

15 maximize comprehension of the experimental data with superfluous information excluded.

16 Tables must be created using a table format feature. Ensure each data is in its own table

17 cell. Tables should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and should be grouped

18 after the References section. Footnotes in tables should be given letter designations and be cited

19 in the table by superscript letters. The sequence of letters should proceed by row than by

20 column. Each Table should provide with a descriptive heading, which, together with the

21 individual column heading, should make the table, self-explanatory. A model Table is included

22 at the end of this template.

23 Insert the illustrations into the word-processing file following the Tables. Artwork should

24 be sequentially numbered using Arabic numbers. Figures should have captions. Figure captions

25 should be included after the Tables and previously to the Figures.

2 acceptable. REVISTA DE METALURGIA reserves the option to reject images that are not of

3 satisfactory quality for publication.

5 4. DISCUSSION

6 Be complete but concise in discussing findings, comparing results with previous work and

7 proposing explanations for the results observed. Avoid speculation unsupported by the data

8 obtained. Concluding statements may be either incorporated at the end of this section or under a

9 separate Conclusions section. Citations should be according to the described above.
