STOP COMMUNALISM
Communalism could be called as an ideology that divides people or create division
between them based on religion, belief, caste, creed, values, ethnicity, etc. In
simple words communalism is a situation where, one religion or community tries to
promote its own interest at the cost of other religion. We chose this topic because
we thought that communalism is a serious problem and the society need to be free
from it in order to become just.
Awareness is the first step in understanding and stopping this issue.
Communalism is something that causes hatred, intolerance, and insecurity among
citizens. It has divided our society for long. There are many communal
organizations and political parties that promote and support communalism for
their own gains. The constitution of India state that “India is a secular country”
that means any citizen can practice any religion and the state will not
discriminate among its citizens based on the religion he is following, so it could
be said that communalism not only damages the unity among citizens but also
degrades this important feature of our constitution.
If everyone takes responsibility for ending this issue of ending this issue and
takes the time to educate others, there can be social movement to put an end to
communalism and build a more stable society.
So, to initiate this we visited some schools, talked to people, tried to spread
awareness, and made an Instagram page to make aware the youth about this
increasing problem, how it effects the victims, what damage it causes.

IMPORTANCE OF OUR TOPIC IN RECENT SENARIO

In this 21st century, where the world is progressing very fast, in a developing
country like India, an evil like communalism is still prevalent in different places of
the country. Lower caste communities feel oppressed and face discrimination
every day. People adopted different ill ideologies about religion, caste, beliefs and
made it even more harmful (disgusting).
When we look at the present scenario, the impact may not be as severe as in the
early periods, but it is still worrying. Communalism supports the feeling in a
person to do things for the gain of his own religion no matter what harm it may
cause to some other religion or community.
We need to abolish this social evil right away for a progressive India.
Communalism is nothing but a concept with no reference to the worth of a person.
Therefore, we must not discriminate based on a caste, creed or religion of a person

Conclusion

This assignment has extensively assisted us to spread awareness about the issue of
communalism. India is a diverse country and it is the world’s largest democratic
country. Here, when we retrospect then India is in question that after more than the
seven decades of independence, people are discriminating one another based on
their Religion, beliefs, creed, caste. It is not as same as poverty that western
country will allocate some funds to eradicate it. It is totally the perception and
mindset of the common people of the society where they can finish it themselves.

such discrimination is not something that has emerged post colonially. So we tried
our best to make people as much aware about it as possible.
