The Harlot

The Rule of First Mention

From gotquestions.org: “The law (or principle or rule) of first mention is a

guideline that some people use for studying Scripture. The law of first
mention says that, to understand a particular word or doctrine, we must
find the first place in Scripture that word or doctrine is revealed and study
that passage. The reasoning is that the Bible’s first mention of a concept
is the simplest and clearest presentation; doctrines are then more fully
developed on that foundation. So, to fully understand an important and
complex theological concept, Bible students are advised to start with its
“first mention.”

Building the Bride

Question: What does the first woman (Eve) have in common with the city of
Babel? Answer: They both were built.

In the Bible, the first thing that was ‘built’ was Eve. Though Adam was ‘formed’
from the dust of the ground much as a potter would make a clay pot, the woman
was not ‘formed’: she was “built”. The Hebrew word, banah, is a construction
term and the woman—Eve—was the first thing recorded in the Bible as being
constructed or built—with cities and altars being the next things constructed.
And the first city that was built was Babel. The idea of God building the
woman and the building of cities is a thread we can follow from Genesis to
the book of Revelation; from the first ‘bride’, Eve, in Genesis, to the Bride of
Christ in Revelation; and from the first city, Babel, also in Genesis, to the
last city, the New Jerusalem in Revelation.

The first woman was created as a companion for Adam, the man whom God
formed from the dust of the ground. The woman was created after God made
the man, as a separate act of creation. The ‘building’ of the woman from Adam’s
side, is a type and shadow of Christ and His Bride, the Ekklesia—the ‘called out’
ones—the Church. Jesus is the ‘last Adam’ and we are His Bride.

The Bride is also identified with a city: the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:1, 9-11 “I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out
of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband…Then one of
the seven angels with the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and
said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10And he
carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the
holy city of Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11shining with the
glory of God. Its radiance was like a most precious jewel, like a jasper, as clear
as crystal.”

The Holy City is the place that the Lord is preparing for us in heaven. In addition
to being an actual place, the New Jerusalem also describes the people who will
be living in that city. The Holy City shines with the glory of God, having an
internal radiance like a sparkling gem stone. The Lamb is not married to a city;
He is married to people like Himself, who shine with the glory and radiance of
God. The Holy City is called ‘the Wife of the Lamb’.

In addition to the book of Revelation, the symbolism of both a Bride and a City
representing the Church is found in other places in the New Testament as well.

2 of 26
Matthew 16:18 “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My
church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.”

The Greek word, oikodomeó, translated as ‘build’ in this passage in Matthew, is

also a ‘construction’ term, describing the building of a house, a city or a temple.
Christ described Himself as the temple which would be ‘rebuilt’ in 3 days once it
was destroyed. He pointed to the passage in Isaiah that speaks of the stone that
the builders rejected as being Himself: He was both the Building and the chief
building stone.

Christ said He would ‘build’ His Church, His Bride, His ekkesia, the people who
are compared with the New Jerusalem in Revelation. His ‘called out ones’ would
be built on a foundation of apostles and prophets.

Ephesians 2:19-122 “Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but
fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household, 20built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the
cornerstone. 21In Him the whole building is fitted together and grows into a holy
temple in the Lord. 22And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling
place for God in His Spirit.”

The connection between a Bride, a Groom and a future City is very clear in the
scriptures with ties to the creation story in Genesis, and how the first man
obtained his wife. Eve was made for Adam, being constructed out of his
wounded side. Her origin was in him. Jesus is the last Adam and, symbolically
speaking, the Church was taken from His wounded side when He died on the
cross. We were made for Him, so that He would not be alone. Our life originates
in Him and we will continue to share our life with Him in glory.

The Harlot is built, too

There is another ‘woman’ in Revelation who is also associated with a city: the
Harlot, also known as ‘Mystery, Babylon’. Like the New Jerusalem and the Bride
of Christ, the Harlot traces her origins back to the book of Genesis. She is also
compared with a ‘city’, Babylon, and, as we shall see, she is also something that
is built. To understand the typology of the Harlot-city, we’ll need to go back to
the first mention of Babylon in the Old Testament. The first city, Babel, is
synonymous with Babylon, and we find the origins of Babel described in the
book of Genesis.

3 of 26
Genesis 10:8,9 “Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one
on the earth. 9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like
Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.” 10His kingdom began in Babylon…”

Genesis 11:1-11 Now the whole world had one language and a common form of
speech. 2And as people journeyed eastward, they found a plain in the land of
Shinar and settled there. 3And they said to one another, “Come, let us make
bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they used brick instead of stone, and tar
instead of mortar.4“Come,” they said, “let us build for ourselves a city with a
tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may make a name for ourselves and
not be scattered over the face of all the earth.”5Then the LORD came down to
see the city and the tower that the sons of men were building. 6And the LORD
said, “If they have begun to do this as one people speaking the same language,
then nothing they devise will be beyond them. 7Come, let Us go down and
confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s
speech.”8So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of all the earth,
and they stopped building the city. 9That is why it is called Babel, for there the
LORD confused the language of the whole world, and from that place the LORD
scattered them over the face of all the earth."

In order to understand the significance of the end time Harlot, Mystery, Babylon,
we need to look at her origins. Enter Nimrod, the builder of Babel and its first
king. Nimrod was the founder of Babel/Babylon. His name means ‘rebel’ and he
was a man whose life was epitomized by rebellion towards God. Nimrod is
recorded as having built the first kingdom in the Bible. This was an unauthorized
kingdom, and he an unauthorized king. Nimrod’s city and kingdom building was
a direct violation of God’s command for humanity to spread over the earth after
the flood. God knew that the result of people congregating in cities under a rebel
king would lead to circumstances that would quickly escalate into a level of
violence and wickedness rivaling the pre-flood world, minus the pervasive
influence of the fallen angels. God knew that if the human knowledge gained
during the pre-flood incursion of the fallen angels were to be centralized in a
single location, men would be able to do anything they set their minds to do.

Even though Nimrod knew God’s command, he did the opposite: he established
a number of cities with the chief city named Babel/Babylon, which means both
‘confusion’ and “The Gate of God”. (See footnote (1) for more information on the
origins of the name, Babel.)

Nimrod is a type of the antichrist, who is also known as the ‘man of sin’ and the
‘man of lawlessness’. To be ‘without law’ is to be in rebellion toward God. The
future ‘Nimrod’—the antichrist—will use Babel, the city personified by the Harlot
in Revelation, to achieve his own ends; and when he is finished with her, he will
destroy her.

The name, ‘Gate of God’, gives us an indication of the level of rebellion in

Nimrod’s capitol city of Babel. When anyone entered Babel, they ‘knew’ that
they had just walked into the city of the ‘divine king’—the Gate of God and the
home of Nimrod. Though it’s easy to focus on the actual brick and mortar city,
the rebellion of Nimrod and the people of Babel was essentially spiritual in
nature, outwardly manifesting in the building of Babel. When examining Babel in
the light of its being a symbol or type, the city known as the ‘Gate of God’ is the
imitation or counterfeit of the New Jerusalem, which also has gates through
which people may enter to worship the Divine King.

The New Jerusalem is referred to as Bride. It will be the home to the Body of
Christ—the Bride of Christ—for all of eternity. Christ’s desire to have a Bride was
so strong that He was willing to leave heaven’s glory to give His life’s blood to
pay the bridal price for us. The man of lawlessness—the Antichrist—will also
have a ‘bride, but it will not be the Harlot. Even though the Harlot, who will
consider herself as good as married to the Beast, in the end will find herself the
object of his cruelty and scorn, not a beloved wife, but something to be used
and then tossed aside.

Revelation 18:7,8 “In her heart she says, ‘I sit as queen; I am not a widow and
will never see grief.’8Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and
grief and famine—and she will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God
who judges her.”

Revelation 17: 16-18 “And the ten horns and the beast that you saw will hate the
harlot. They will leave her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and burn
her with fire. 17For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose by
uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
18And the woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the
earth.”

The Bride of the Beast

The Harlot believes herself to be the Bride of the Beast, the counterfeit Body of
believers who are joined to Christ as His Bride. The harlot thinks she will never
be a ‘widow’, but she ignores the fact that she was never married to the Beast in
the first place, and the fact is, she will only be joined to him for a very brief
period of time.

Revelation 17:10 “There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the
other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little
while.”

In order for the Beast to truly be a counterfeit Christ, he, too, must have a
‘bride’; but if the Harlot is not the bride of the Beast…who is? We have already
seen how the ‘Bride’ is built of believers who are referred to as ‘living stones’
being built into a habitation for God. God dwells inside of believers through His
Holy Spirit.

As believers, we are being transformed from ‘glory to glory’ by the power of the
Holy Spirit:

6 of 26
2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the
Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to
another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

The goal of the Holy Spirit’s work in our life is to transform us into the image of
Christ.

Romans 8:20 “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be

conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn
among many brothers.”

1 Corinthians 15:49 “Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we
shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.”

Believers are in the process of being changed—transformed from the image of

Adam to the image of the ‘last Adam’, who is Christ. A counterfeit spiritual
transformation will take place to select individuals during the 42 month reign of
the Beast as well. Some people (but not all), will be chosen and, in a counterfeit
to the transformation of believers into the image of Christ, be changed from
bearing the image of Adam, to bearing the image of the Beast. These people will
be given ‘spirit’ or ‘breath’, and men who are not be transformed into the image
of the Beast will be required to worship those who ARE in the image of the
Beast.

Revelation 13:14,15 “and by the signs that it (the False Prophet) is allowed to
work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling
them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet
lived. 15And it was allowed to give breath (“spirit”) to the image of the beast, so
that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would
not worship the image of the beast to be slain.”

The ‘image’ of the Beast will not be a statue or idol. The Greek word translated
as image, the word “eikon”, and carries with it the idea of an exact
representation—a mirror image—a copy of the thing being ‘imaged’. Christ is
the ‘image of God’, His exact representation.

Colossians 1:15 “He is the image (eikon) of the invisible God, the firstborn of all
creation.”

2 Corinthians 4:4 “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of
the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of
Christ, who is the image (eikon) of God.”

7 of 26
Christ is the ‘image of God; and believers are being transformed into the image
of Christ. The Beast is in the image of the Dragon, and the ‘Image of the Beast’
symbolically refers to people who will be changed into the image of the Beast.
The False Prophet will place ‘spirit’ in certain people which will initiate their
transformation into the image of the Beast, in a counterfeit ‘pentecost’
experience.

The Beast reflects the Dragon—both have 7 heads and 10 horns. In a poor
imitation of Christ who is 100% human and 100% Divine, the Beast will also be
a hybrid entity: both human and indwelled by the spirit of Apollyon, the king of
the angels in the bottomless pit (Revelation 9: 11). The ‘image of the Beast’
refers to those individuals who will also be hybrids: mortal men inside of whom
will be placed a fallen angel spirit. It is my belief that this ‘spirit’ will be one of the
spirits of the angels that are currently in the Pit. When Apollyon is released at the
5th Trumpet, all the other ‘watchers’—fallen angels—will be released as well.
They will want a body to inhabit—and I believe they will get one: in the form of
‘chosen’ individuals!

These people will receive a kind of spiritual ‘download’ that will go beyond mere
demon possession. Demons are low-level spirits, being the spirits of the children
of the Watchers, spirits who were left to wander the earth after they were killed
in the flood. The ‘parents’ of the demons were—and are—so wicked, so foul and
so powerful that they had to be placed in chains in the pit! It is these spiritual
entities—the currently imprisoned fallen angels/Watchers—who will be
‘breathed’ into ‘chosen’ men and women.

Jude 6 “And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority,
but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy
darkness until the judgment of the great day…”

The Bride of Christ is composed of individuals who have given their life to Christ
and been born again of the Spirit of God and are being transformed into the
image of Christ. The ‘bride’ of the Beast will also be composed of individuals
who have given their life to the Antichrist and been ‘born again’ of a ‘spirit’ like
the spirit which indwells the Beast, and be transformed into the image of the
Beast.

“Make a Name for Ourselves”

The Harlot is not the bride of the Beast but she thinks she is because she is rich
and powerful and rules over people. The Harlot has had many lovers over the
course of history including kings and the rich, powerful men of the earth.

8 of 26
Revelation 17:1b,2 “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great
prostitute, who sits on many waters. 2The kings of the earth were immoral with
her, and those who dwell on the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her
immorality.”

What exactly is the ‘wine of her immorality’ which intoxicated kings? To find the
answer, we need to look at Babel once more.

Genesis 11:3,4 “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they
used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.4“Come,” they said, “let us
build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may
make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.

One of the first things we notice in this passage are the words, ‘us’, ‘ourselves’
and ‘we’. “Let us make bricks…Let us build ourselves….that we may make a
name for ourselves…” This is how the rebellion of one man, Nimrod, spread to
a group of people who were all willing to defy God’s command of scattering
throughout the world, and build a city and a tower or stronghold. All were in
agreement, united in this one ‘great work’. Their materials would be ‘bricks’
instead of stones. They became the world’s first recorded masons and their city
would be the chief city, a temple-city: the Gate of God.

Building with bricks is a familiar theme in scripture. We remember how the

Israelites were forced to make bricks in Egypt by the Pharaoh. The Bible also
tells us that the altars which the Hebrews used to offer sacrifices to God were to
be made of uncut stones: stones the way God made them, without human effort
being applied to beautify them or the altar.

Bricks, bitumen and hewn stones are the materials of slavery—and pride. They
were to be the materials the men of Babel would use to immortalize themselves,
that they might “make a name for themselves”, and not a name for God. The
purpose of the city and the tower/stronghold was to immortalize and
memorialize the builders: to make them famous. To ‘make a name for oneself’
was to display owns greatness and to distinguish oneself from other men; to set
oneself above the rest of humanity. The city of Babel along with its tower was
designed as a graphic display human greatness apart from God. It was a
monument to human pride and arrogance.

Babel was no ordinary city. All we need to do is look at the pyramids of Egypt to
grasp the level of technological expertise that was present in the ancient world.
To this very day, how the actual construction of the pyramids took place, and by
whom, is shrouded in mystery The pre-flood world was filled with advanced
knowledge, as forbidden information was given to humanity by the fallen ones

9 of 26
who mingled their seed with that of human women. No doubt some of the
forbidden knowledge still existed after the flood and formed the basis for the
rebuilding of the post-flood world; and we know that the fallen angels were still
around even after the flood. With regard to the men, including Nimrod, who were
the impetus and brains behind the building of the city of Babel, God said that if
they continued to work together, whatever they desired to do—whatever they
could imagine—they would be able to achieve.

Genesis 11:6,7 "6And the LORD said,“If they have begun to do this as one
people speaking the same language, then nothing they devise will be beyond
them. 7Come, let Us go down and confuse their language, so that they will not
understand one another’s speech.”

The seriousness of the rebellion which manifested in the building of the city of
Babel, was on par with the rebellion of the men and angels which began before
the flood. God had already promised that He wouldn’t send another flood to
destroy men in judgment, but He couldn’t allow the imaginations and efforts of
men to progress any further, or else the world would eventually suffer the same
levels of violence, corruption and wickedness as it had before the flood.

God could have destroyed Babel like He would do later with the cities of Sodom
and Gomorrah, but instead He elected to postpone the actual judgement of
Babel until the time of the end. Rather than destroy the rebels and their city
outright, He would thwart their plans by confusing their language. Without being
able to communicate, they also became unable to cooperate with one another
to achieve their lofty goals for immortality. But the confusion of the languages
was only a place-holder, a temporary fix, designed to slow the progress of evil in
the world and perhaps, allow some of the forbidden knowledge given to
mankind by the watchers, to dissipate into oblivion.

Once God confused the language, the people of Babel scattered as God had
originally commanded; but the rebellion that was birthed and developed in Babel
—the values of pride, self-aggrandizement and rebellion—had become hard-
wired into those who were scattered. Eventually, the descendants of Babel
would be found in the four corners of the earth, as would the rebellion that
initiated in that original city. That is why the book of Revelation describes the
Harlot—Mystery, Babylon—as being a world-wide ‘city’. The people of Babel
brought the pride and values of Babel with them wherever they went.

Revelation 17:1, 15 “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls
came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great
prostitute who is seated on many waters…And the angel said to me, “The

10 of 26
waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes
and nations and languages.”

(We should also take note of the word, ‘languages’ in this passage…for they
originated in Babel.)

In Genesis, Nimrod was the first king and Babel was the first ‘capitol’ of the
world. In the Revelation, Jerusalem will be the final capitol of the world, during
the Millennium, when King Jesus rules from Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be the
‘City of Peace’ where the Prince of Peace will reside. Babel is the false ‘Gate of
God’, the place of ‘Confusion’ and pride.

Civilization: The Pride of Life

Nimrod envisioned himself as a king ruling over other people and having power
over them. The people he ruled over would compose his kingdom. How would
Nimrod’s kingdom operate? How would he ‘persuade’ people to submit to his
reign? How did he ‘share’ his vision of greatness with others in such a way so
that they were motivated to join him, yet still be able to reserve the glory and
honor for himself? The answer was: power and worship. Men were created with
a need to worship, and people bow to power. If they will not worship God, they
will worship whatever seems to take the place of God. Nimrod was a ‘mighty
hunter’, a powerful man, and just the kind of person that men would idolize and
follow.

Nimrod was a clever man, too. Building a city is no small undertaking, requiring
the builder to possess a great deal of organizational ability and put systems in
place to manage the people who would build the city and the tower.

Right from the beginning, a kingdom requires a system of administration, from

the top, down. In the book of 1 Chronicles, we read about God’s system of
organizing a kingdom. God gave Solomon’s father, King David, the ‘org chart’ for
how to set up the administration for Solomon’s future reign, including the temple
and who would assist him in his rule from the capitol city of Jerusalem. In
chapters 24-27 of 1 Chronicles, details concerning the administration of the
priests, musicians, gate-keepers, treasurers, officers, judges, military leaders,
heads of state, counselors, etc,—indeed, all the people who would assist
Solomon is his reign as king over Israel—are enumerated.

This administrative organization which God instructed David to put in place for
Solomon’s temple, is a type and shadow of Christ’s millennial reign. Christ is
Himself typified by David’s son, Solomon, the One who will rule in peace.
(Solomon’s name means, ‘peace’) In Christ’s kingdom there will be glorified

11 of 26
saints who will assist Christ, ruling and reigning with Him and operating with
varying degrees of authority. In heaven, there is also a hierarchy: God the Father
as being King over all, then Christ, the Spirit, the Bride, the ‘invited guests, and
then innumerable angels of varying degrees of glory and power.

For every ‘real’ thing that God establishes, there is also a substitute that Satan
foists on the world. Nimrod and his cronies no doubt were satanically inspired to
follow a hierarchy of leadership similar to that which is found in heaven. Nimrod
would be the earthly king seated at the top of the earthly hierarchy. Then he
would have assistants with lesser degrees of authority, all the way down to the
lowly brick maker. But before God could set up His true kingdom on earth with
Christ as its king, Satan preempted the whole idea of an earthly king and
kingdom by raising up his own ‘man’…Nimrod. Nimrod would need to have an
administration, too, but one which would reflect the purposes of Satan, and his
envy and hatred for God.

Any system, be it an organization, institution or government, can be used for

good or for ill; to glorify God and align with His purposes, or to honor and glorify
man or the evil one. When Christ organizes His kingdom during His Millennial
reign, it will be done for the glory of God. When Satan organizes men, he merely
organizes their rebellion and wickedness, enabling them to achieve greater evil
in the world. Because hierarchical structures originated with God, they seem
normal to people who were created by God, and therefore deemed innately
‘good’, like a sunset or birds flying through the sky. Top-down organizations,
such as ‘kingdoms’ and ‘cities' when run systematically are orderly and
‘civilized’. And that was the ‘gift’ that Satan, through Nimrod, gave to man: order
and civilization apart from God.

Satan and the Cabal

Satan has a personal goal for himself: to be worshipped as God:

Isaiah 14:12-14 “How you are fallen from heaven,O Day Star, son of Dawn! How
you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13You said in your
heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on
high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14I will
ascend above the heights of the clouds;I will make myself like the Most High.”

The men of Babel had a similar goal, though not as grand:

Genesis 11:3,4 “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” So they
used brick instead of stone, and tar instead of mortar.4“Come,” they said, “let us

12 of 26
build for ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens, that we may
make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of all the earth.

Satan wanted to make a position for himself in heaven where he would be

worshiped as God; while the ‘cabal’ of Babel merely wanted their greatness to
be memorialized among men on the earth.

Satan, as well as his ‘son’, (the future antichrist, of which Nimrod is a type) and
the cabal of Babel will all play a role during the end times. In Revelation, the end
time cabal is symbolized by the Harlot. We also know from Revelation that the
Harlot will ride the Beast, that is, the Beast will have a relationship with the
Harlot where he is being controlled by her—not the other way around.

Revelation 17:3-5 “And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness,
where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with
blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.”

The woman is described as being dressed in expensive garments with precious

stones and pearls and gold decoration:

4"The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and
precious stones and pearls.”

Whereas the Harlot’s ‘beauty’ is put on and applied being only on the surface,
the beauty of the Bride of Christ shines from within:

Revelation 20:9,10 “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed
me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God having the
glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.…”

The power of a Harlot lies in her ability to seduce men. She seduces her lovers
with promises of pleasure. She ‘works’ in secret. She uses lies to deceive her
‘clients’ and in so doing she seeks to acquire status, wealth and security…and
power. She entices and controls others through her beauty; seducing with
smooth words, enticing those whose hearts are not true towards God, luring
them into having ‘relations’ with her. She uses enticement is a form of
manipulation to draw people into a relationship with her. This form of enticement
is subtle, and is described in Revelation as sorcery. The Old Testament warns
against being seduced by women with ulterior motives:

Proverbs 5:1-5 “My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my

understanding, 2that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard

13 of 26
knowledge. 3For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey, and her speech is
smoother than oil, 4but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-
edged sword.”

Proverbs 23:26-28 “My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my
ways. 27For a prostitute is a deep pit; an adulteress is a narrow well. 28She lies
in wait like a robber and increases the traitors among mankind.”

Revelation 18:23b “for your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all
nations were deceived by your sorcery.”

(Note: The False Prophet will deceive the world though lying signs and
wonders. He will not depend on sorcery to seduce people into worshipping the
Beast. Rather, he will overwhelm the willfully ignorant with lying wonders.
Revelation 13:13, 14 “It performs great signs, even making fire come down from
heaven to earth in front of people, 14and by the signs that it is allowed to work
in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to
make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.”)

The Babylonian System

Though the actual men who desired to immortalize themselves at the time of
Babel have long since died millennia ago, the rebellion they initiated—and the
methods they used to enforce their control over humanity—remain firmly
embedded in cultures all over the world. This rebellion which has spread among
mankind mirrors the pride of Satan—including the focus on self, pride and the
desire to elevate one’s self above God and other men—and has infiltrated the
values and moral climate of the whole civilized world. Wherever you find
concentrations of power, money and control, you can be sure that the values
and goals of Babel—and Satan—are at the center of it; and that somewhere
behind the scenes, men and women who are positioned toward the top of a
hierarchical system are covertly pulling the strings of kings and world leaders.

Even though Nimrod founded Babel and was its sovereign at its founding,
somewhere over the course of time, the ‘cabal of Babel’—the spiritual
descendants of the men who said “Let us make a name for ourselves…”—
became more powerful than the kings that ruled over kingdoms. Even in our
world today, the locus of global power and control is seated, not with kings and
governments, but within such organizations as the World Economic Forum, the
United Nations, the World Bank and countless other well-known, and not-so-
well known entities, and the people who run them. These are the organizations
that dictate the policies of nations, superseding the rule of kings and presidents

14 of 26
and elected governments. These organizations, along with many others over the
course of history, will be the dark, hidden power milieu into which the future
antichrist will arrive. He will be ‘under’ the Harlot’s control: it will be the ‘cabal;’
‘riding’ and controlling him, and not the other way around.

Revelation 17:3 “And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I
saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and
it had seven heads and ten horns.”

Anyone who wishes to climb the power structures of civilization in its present
form must pay their dues. It should come as no surprise that presidents are
‘selected, not elected’, congressmen and women are ‘bought’ and that wicked
men prosper. Anyone who wishes to play a role within this system usually has
been enticed and seduced to do so by promises of power, fame, wealth,
security and ‘making a difference’. It doesn’t matter which of the many powerful
institutions and organizations one wishes to become a part of—and there are
many from which to choose—they all are purveyors of the pride of Babel at
some level. This includes the worlds of finance, politics, education, science,
medicine, entertainment, philanthropy, and, sadly, even religion, including
Christianity. From childhood, our culture encourages people to be a part of a
‘group’, get trained/indoctrinated and climb within the ranks of ones chosen
profession, be it a gang member or a member of congress. This is how society
works. In saying this I am not trying to vilify or demonize anyone who has
received an education or been a part of an institution or organization. I am
merely attempting to demonstrate that the values of modern civilization—which
are based on the Babylonian system of human pride and rebellion towards God
—is virtually inescapable and that we all have, at some point in our lives, been
seduced, lied to and brainwashed by the system.

What is Your Source of Fame: God or Self?

Civilization itself has its roots in Babel, and it was there, in Babel, that people
first became ‘civilized’, with a king, an empire, and a plan for achieving a kind of
immortality—‘making a name’ for oneself—apart from God. People congregated
in cities, entrusting themselves to a powerful man…instead of entrusting
themselves to God. This was contrary to the will of God, who wanted to be King,
and the source of provision for humanity. And God wanted to ‘make a name’ for
His people in His own way, like He did with Abraham.

Genesis 12:1,2 “Then the LORD said to Abram, “Leave your country, your
kindred, and your father’s household, and go to the land I will show you. 2I will
make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great,
so that you will be a blessing.”

15 of 26
If Abraham wanted to have God’s blessing, he would have to leave his current
place of residence, the city of Ur of the Chaldeans. (Chaldea is another name for
Babylon.) When God asked Abraham to leave his country, God was asking for
more from Abraham than just a move across town: He was asking Abraham to
change his whole paradigm of how one achieves greatness. Abraham needed to
abandon his current living situation with its accompanying paradigm of
‘civilization’—its systems and its control. God wanted Abraham to trust HIM—to
believe that greatness and blessing come through trusting the Lord and not
through self-effort.

Abraham was being asked to throw his lot in with God’s plan for him, and not his
own plan for himself. To do this, Abraham must leave his identity as a ‘civilized’
man; abandon his plans for security and rewards through human ‘achievement’
in a city replete with man-based institutions. He must seek the approval of God,
rather than the approval of men. The values and rewards of following God are
very different from the values and rewards which the world offers, but it’s only
through leaving Babylon as an act of faith that Abraham—or anyone else for that
matter—could find the blessing of God.

As believers, we’ve been called to ‘leave Babylon’, too. We are to be ‘in the
world (system)’ but not of the ‘world’.

1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves
the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the
desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the
Father but from the world. 17The world is passing away, along with its desires;
but whoever does the will of God remains forever.”

The Harlot—Mystery, Babylon—is a symbol of the present world system, with its
values, culture, and institutions; AND it represents the actual people who are the
present rulers of the world. Like the original ‘cabal of Babel’ who sought
immortality through human achievement, there is still a ‘cabal’ that is in control
of—not just a single city—but the virtually whole world.

Revelation 17:2,15 “The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and those who
dwell on the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her immorality…Then the
angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute was seated, are
peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.”

The ‘great city’ of Mystery, Babylon, is not any one place, be it the USA, or New
York, or the Vatican: the Harlot is all of them…and more! Her tentacles reach
everywhere. She is the city of Babel spread throughout the world. And she is the
continuation of the ‘club’, the cabal, the individuals who run the world.

16 of 26
The communication disruption caused by the confusing of the language of
Babel, which was used to slow the increase of evil in the world, has come to an
end. We have long since moved past the barriers God temporarily erected
placing limits on mankind’s ingenuity and arrogance when He confused the
single language of the ancient world. In recent years, knowledge and technology
have multiplied exponentially, and so has the wickedness and evil in the world. If
God doesn’t deal with the Harlot—the ‘cabal’—soon, no one will be left to usher
in the reign of Christ.

Revelation 18:3-5 “All the nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her
immorality. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of
the earth have grown wealthy from the extravagance of her luxury.” 4Then I
heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you
will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. 5For her sins are piled
up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.”

The Beast and the Harlot

Many people believe that the Beast/antichrist will work in conjunction with the
Harlot to usher in the one world government and one world religion. They
believe that these two entities, the Beast and the Harlot, are basically one and
the same with regard to their agendas and goals. They read in Revelation that
the ‘woman is seated’ on the scarlet Beast and they assume that this is how the
Beast will rule, in cooperation with the Harlot.

Remember that the world’s first king, Nimrod, the man of rebellion who rose up
in the ancient world, is a type of the antichrist, the Beast of Revelation. Nimrod
established himself as the head of his kingdom—with the city of Babel as its first
city and most likely the capitol of Nimrod’s empire as well. As we have already
observed, sometime over the course of history, the Babylonian cabal grew more
powerful than kings. During the end times, when the Beast arrives on the scene
as the Rider on the White Horse/7th King, he, like the rest of the kings of the
earth, will be under the thumb of the cabal, just one of many kings to be folded
in with all the other world leaders. She will see him as being just one more
‘useful’ person that can help her push her agenda forward and assist HER in her
plans for world domination.

The antichrist’s goal, however, is to be the sole ruler of the world, unattached
to the present system, with everyone in submission to him. The Harlot will not
suspect that the Beast has his own plans, and we are told in Revelation 17, that
the Beast and the 10 Kings will hate the Harlot and destroy her. The globalist
cabal will not suspect the attack by Beast and his allies. The Beast will put down

17 of 26
the cabal and the system they have set up, and destroy all the places from
which they operate. The whole New World Order/Great Reset agenda will
collapse like a house of cards. When the Beast destroys the ‘cabal’ and their
various headquarters around the world—the Vatican, Brussels, Davos, London,
Washington DC, etc—he will appear to be the ‘good guy’—the one who arrived
just in time to save the world from the clutches of the globalists and their
schemes and agendas, including their depopulation agenda.

In spite of the fact that many people refuse to believe that the cabal is actively
pursuing the reduction of the population of the earth, choosing to consign this
idea to the realm of ‘conspiracy theories, the ‘depopulation’ agenda has most
likely already begun. Even though the Lamb with the sealed scroll is the One
who controls when the seals will be opened, it is the Harlot who will manufacture
the events connected with the first five seals of Revelation. And then when the
first four Trumpets sound and a third of the earth is destroyed by falling ‘stars’
and burning mountains, the globalists will have the answer to their satanically
inspired prayers. The resulting devastation of a third of the earth will create the
power vacuum and the opportunity they need to enact the end-game of their
depopulation agenda. They will proceed to kill anyone who is not on board with
their agenda (first 4 seals): this will most certainly include believers. The worst
persecution of believers in the history of the world will take place in the very
near future, at the opening of the 5th seal and culminate in a 10 day ‘great
tribulation’ for believers. Millions of Christians will be martyred by the cabal and
those who will side with their goals and agenda.

Revelation 2:10 “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is
about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation
for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Revelation 6:9-11 “And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the
altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the
testimony they had upheld. 10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O
Lord, holy and true, until You avenge our blood and judge those who dwell upon
the earth?”11Then each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little
while longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were
killed, just as they had been killed.”

Revelation 7:9,14 “After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count,
from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne
and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and holding palm
branches in their hands…“These are the ones who have come out of the great
tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of
the Lamb.”

18 of 26
Revelation 12:11 “These are the ones who have come out of the great
tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of
the Lamb.”

This multitude of martyrs appear in heaven shortly before Satan is cast out of
heaven; before the Beast even begins to reign. Who killed these believers? It
was not the Beast or the False Prophet. It was the Harlot…the globalists…the
‘Babylonian Cabal’!

Revelation 17:6 “I could see that the woman was drunk with the blood of the
saints and witnesses for Jesus. And I was utterly amazed at the sight of her.”

The Harlot—the Babylonian Cabal—will be drunk with the blood of the saints.
Beast is never said to be ‘drunk with the blood of the saints’ even though we
know that he will persecute believers during his reign. Before the Beast even
begins to reign, the majority of Christians will have already perished as
martyrs at the hands of the globalists and their adherents, who are referred
to as the ‘earth dwellers’ in Revelation.

The current depopulation agenda, along with the vilification of Christians, will
proceed unabated until most believers who are still living on earth at the time of
the 10 day purge will be eliminated. How and when will they die? Of course
some will perish through the wars and bloodshed that will occur when the 2nd
Seal is opened and peace is taken from the earth. Many more will die through
famine, disease and pestilence. But most of them will be betrayed by family,
friends and neighbors.

Luke 12:51-53 “Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I
tell you, but division. 52From now on, five in one household will be divided, three
against two and two against three. 53They will be divided, father against son and
son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother,
mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-
law.”

Matthew 10:21, 22 "21Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child;
children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 22You will be
hated by everyone because of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end
will be saved.”

Mark 13:12 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children
will rise against their parents and have them put to death.”

19 of 26
John was amazed when he saw the Harlot. We are not informed as to the reason
why he was so astonished, but I can imagine that part of what he saw may have
been the rise of Christendom: the church that is ‘christian’ in name only and
their persecution of their ‘brothers’. The ‘church’ which has melded with the
‘mother church’—Roman Catholicism—which has historically been a zealous
persecutor of true Christians. In the end, believers will be turned in by, and
martyred by, so-called ‘brothers’ in the compromised church.

This present Babylonian world system, including Christendom, is anti-Christ,

anti-God and anti-Christian. It is controlled by Satan through his earthly
ministers.

Ephesians 2:1,2 “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2in which you
used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of
the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience.”

One day Satan will rule the world through his false ‘son’, the Beast:

Revelation 13:2-4 “The beast I saw was like a leopard, with the feet of a bear
and the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave the beast his power and his throne
and great authority. 3One of the heads of the beast appeared to be mortally
wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world marveled and
followed the beast. 4They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the
beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who
can wage war against it?”

The kingdom of Satan will, one day soon, be ruled through his son, the
antichrist, a man who will rise from the dead, and be inhabited by the spirit who
rises from the bottomless pit, Apollyon. Satan’s kingdom will be a ‘one world
kingdom’, but it will have nothing to do with the present globalist agenda for a
New World Order. The Beast’s kingdom will be opposed to what we are seeing
in the world today—the coming New World Order—the one with the globalists at
the helm, who are attempting to usher in their own totalitarian government.

The Beast’s ‘one world government’ will be totally different from the Harlot’s. His
will be empowered by Satan himself, who will be present on the earth at the
time the Beast begins to reign, having been cast from heaven only days before
the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel, Jesus and Paul. All the
people of the earth will be required to swear loyalty to the Beast…as well as to
Satan by extension. The Beast, the False Prophet and Satan will appear so
Christ-like, so brilliant and powerful, that the people on the earth will not hesitate
to submit themselves to them. The earth dwellers will submit to being marked in
some way, and some will even be conformed the image of the Beast. Anyone

20 of 26
who opposes the reign of this false Christ will be eliminated; and the Beast with
the blasphemous names on his heads will rule like Christ…with a rod of iron…
and the blade of the guillotine.

The Harlot is Getting Old

‘Babel’, her organization and systems will die hard. Even though the Beast and
his allies will destroy a third of the globalists (along with their adherents) at the
time of the destruction of Mystery, Babylon, at the 6th Trumpet, not all of the
previous order will be killed. Some will survive and still cling to the ‘old ways’,
refusing to either repent and be saved by the Lord, or to ‘repent’ and join the
Beast!

Revelation 9:20, 21 “Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these
plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop
worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which
cannot see or hear or walk. 21Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder,
sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.”

The Babylonian cabal will continue to operate at some level throughout the reign
of the Beast, and some of those who worshipped other gods (including demons)
prior to the Beast’s arrival will continue to do so as well. The final judgment of
Babel/Babylon will be at the time of the out-pouring of 7th Bowl of the wrath of
God:

Revelation 16:17, 19b “Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,
and a loud voice came from the throne in the temple, saying, “It is done!”…And
God remembered Babylon the great and gave her the cup of the wine of the fury
of His wrath.”

The Demonic Possession of the Harlot

Revelation 9:20, 21 “Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these
plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop
worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which
cannot see or hear or walk. 21Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder,
sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.”

In the time before the flood, fallen angels mingled their seed—and their ways—
among men. They increased the level of sin and violence in the world beyond
the imaginings of man. These fallen angels were consigned to the Pit, being kept
in chains until the time of the end. In other words, they are not here now to
actively influence mankind for evil. However, the spirits of their dead hybrid

21 of 26
children are present here on earth. They are the demons described in the Bible.
Many of the demons demand worship. Many of them are powerful and have
supernatural knowledge. Both Satan and the demons are responsible for
empowering, enlightening and energizing the cabal. When the Beast destroys
the Harlot, the survivors will continue to worship ‘their’ demons, begging for
power and knowledge. After Babylon is partially destroyed—both the people
and the cities and countries from which they have ruled—will be infested by
demons!

Revelation 18:2,3 “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a
dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every
unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast. 3For all nations
have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the
earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have
grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”

In fact, when we first see the Harlot riding the Scarlet Beast, she is in a
wilderness:

Revelation 17:3 “And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I
saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and
it had seven heads and ten horns.”

The wilderness often refers to the place of demons and evil spirits.

Matthew 12:43 ”Now when the unclean spirit is gone out from the man, it
passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it.”

Jesus was in the wilderness when He was tempted by Satan.

Mark 1:12,13 "At once the Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness, 13and He was
there for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and
the angels ministered to Him.

The ‘wilderness’ is Satan’s turf and the place where demons reside. The Harlot
is seated on the Beast in a wilderness. This tells us that the cabal is ‘at home’
with demons. Even though she is also described as being seated on many
waters—letting us know that she ‘controls’ the kingdoms of the world—her
HOME and the source of her power comes from the demonic realm, the place
where demons live and are worshipped. The Harlot is energized from the dark
side: from demons, fallen angels and Satan himself.

22 of 26
James 3:14-16 “But if you harbor bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your
hearts, do not boast in it or deny the truth. 15Such wisdom does not come from
above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16For where jealousy and selfish
ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice.

1 Timothy 4:1,2 “Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will
abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,
2influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot
iron.”

Satan has sought to control mankind and the earth itself since he tempted Eve
in the Garden of Eden resulting in the fall of man. He inspired Cain to kill his
brother, Abel. (Jesus said that Satan is a murderer and has been a murderer
from the beginning.) Satan no doubt sided with the fallen angels (known as the
Watchers) when they chose to leave their habitation (heaven) and take on human
bodies to procreate with human women. The level of wickedness and violence
which ensued from those illicit unions would have escalated beyond mankind’s
ability to survive as a race. Fortunately, God brought this untimely situation to an
end by sending the flood.

Since the time of Babel, Satan has gone ‘underground’, pushing his agenda in
relative anonymity through human agents and institutions. He is waiting for the
day when he can reveal himself and his ‘son’ as the god of this world. There is
no place for the Babylonian cabal in his plans. Like a cheap prostitute, he will
use her and then destroy her. Satan never intended for the Harlot to reign
alongside his ‘son’. She was merely the tool he used to bring the world to the
place where people would joyfully receive him and his ‘son’ and give them
worship. When she least expects it, the Beast and the 10 kings will turn on the
Harlot and expose her for the fraud she is, to the horror and astonishment of the
world:

Revelation 17:16 “And the ten horns and the beast that you saw will hate the
prostitute. They will leave her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and
burn her with fire.”

The Harlot was ‘born’ in Babel. She will be mortally wounded by the Beast and
the 10 kings (plus 4 fallen angels and an army of 200 million) at the time of the
abomination of desolation/6th Trumpet. Her final breath will be at the 7th Bowl,
just before Christ returns to earth to set up HIS Millennial reign.

The Judgment of the Harlot

23 of 26
God has set a date for the destruction of this present world system which had
its origins in Babel. The date God has set for the judgment of Babel is non-
negotiable.

Revelation 9:15 “So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour, the
day, the month, and the year, were released to kill a third of mankind.”

Satan knows that he has a limited time during which the Harlot will be available
for him to use. He has used the Harlot for preparing the world to receive the
Antichrist. Before she is destroyed, Satan must ensure that everything is in place
for the Beast to rule the world.

God has already told us in the book of Revelation, that once events of
Revelation begin to happen, they will take place quickly.

Revelation 1:1 “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to
His bond-servants what things it behooves to take place in quickness.” (Berean
Literal Bible)

Though many people believe that the events described in Revelation will unfold
over the course of 7 years, I believe that from the time of the rapture of the Child
of Revelation 12, until the time of the destruction of the Harlot, there will be less
than a year, perhaps only 6-8 months. During this time the events associated
with the first 5 seals and the first 6 Trumpets will take place. The timing of the
judgment of the Harlot will coincide with the Abomination of desolation, 1260
days/42 months before the visible return of Christ to the earth.

The story of the Harlot—Mystery, Babylon—is one of the dominant themes of

Revelation. Her origin, destiny, methods, source of power, her relationship with
the Beast…plus her final judgment… are all spelled out for us via the symbols
and imagery used in Revelation. What baffles me, is how people gloss over or
ignore altogether the theme of the destruction of the Harlot, confusing the
Harlot’s rule with the Beast’s reign, believing that they are the same system or
that they are, at the very least, on the same team!

This confusion about the identity of both the Harlot and the Beast will be used
by Satan to lead the unsuspecting masses into the great end time deception
described in the Bible. Satan will make the Harlot look so bad, (make her naked)
that people will confuse her with the ‘evil Beast system’ so that when the Beast
actually appears and destroys the cabal, people will be fooled into believing that
the real Christ has arrived and destroyed the Beast. This is so diabolically
brilliant that if God hadn’t warned us in the book of Revelation, even believers
living at that time might fall for the deception.

24 of 26
What does this mean for you?

Between now and the time when the Babylonian cabal is destroyed at the 6th
Trumpet, we can expect that the vilification and persecution of Christians will go
‘mainstream’. Whole families will be torn apart. So-called Christians will be at
war with their ‘brethren’. Wars will increase. Earthquakes will increase. Scarcity,
disease, famine, wars and violence will increase exponentially. Man’s inhumanity
to man will increase. Love will grow cold. The truth will be deemed a lie, and lies
will be called the truth.

Then one day, Israel will be invaded. She will be involved in a terrible war and
shortly thereafter, the 144,000 of Israel will be sealed, and believers will be taken
into the throne room of heaven in a rapture event. Once in heaven, believers (24
Elders…Priests and Kings) will worship God and pray before the golden altar of
incense, interceding for their brethren on earth. An angel will take the prayers
offered by the heavenly Priests and add more incense to them. What follows will
produce a giant earthquake, followed by the events associated with the 5
Trumpet angels in quick succession. The Lamb, having the sealed scroll in His
possession will remove the first 4 seals and the 7th King/Rider on the White
horse will come forth, followed by war, famine and pestilence. All of this is part
of the Harlot’s plan—the globalist agenda for depopulating the earth and
exercising total, open control of the masses. God will allow this to happen.

Then a great wave of persecution will take place culminating in a 10 day purge
of believers, most likely just before Passover. The Beast will be killed and then
rise from the dead. The earth dwellers will be amazed at his resurrection…and
then 3.5 days later, the Harlot will receive her death blow, on the same day the
abomination of desolation will take place, the time when the Beast will begin to
reign unhindered, wielding all the power of the Dragon.

Come out of her!

It’s not too late to ‘come out of Babylon’. This is done through faith in Christ. the
Bible tells us that we are all sinners doomed to destruction but if we believe that
Christ died to pay the price for our sins, and we believe that God raised Him
from the dead, we can be born again of the Spirit of God and be saved from the
disasters that are coming. Once you receive Christ as your Savior, He will give
you His Holy Spirit as the seal and guarantee that He will not only save you from
your sins but that He will make good on every promise He has made to you,
including having eternal life with Christ in a glorified body. This is all free for the
asking and believing.

God wants to make a ‘name for us’, just as He did with Abraham. All we have to
do is leave ‘Babel’ with its Babylonian mindset of self-sufficiency, pride and
human achievement. Like Abraham, we have been called to live a life of faith; to
leave the ‘city’ that we know so well, with all its allurements and charms, and
allow God to make a name for us through His Son.

This is the call: “Come out of her" and follow Him!

Footnote
(1) “…the root of the name Babel in the Akkadian language, which was a part of
the language family spoken in ancient Mesopotamia, particularly by the
Assyrians and Babylonians, means “gate of god.” Here is how one source
explains:
In Genesis 11:9, the name Babel is etymologized by association with the
Hebrew verb balal, “to confuse or confound.” Balal is regarded as a contraction
of earlier balbal. The name “bab-ilu” in Akkadian means “gate of god” (from bab
“gate” + ilu “god”). The word “bab-el” can also be seen to mean “gate of
god” (from bab “gate” + el “god”). [Thus the Bab part of Babel and Babylon
means “gate”.] http://www.kimmillerconcernedchristians.com/Unsealings/
