MAPEH – V (HEALTH)

I. Objectives
The learner will focus their living up with healthy life, specifically:
a. Explain measures to prevent disease
b. Practice ways to prevent disease
c. Demonstrate good decision making skills to prevent diseases
II. Subject Matter:
Topic: Healthy Lifestyle
References: Music, art, physical education and health to pg. 411-413
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation, Visual aids, pictures, charts, handouts.
Values: Appreciate the practices of healthy living, Cooperation
III. Procedure
A. Pre-Developmental Activities

 Prayer
 Greetings
 Classroom arrangement
 Attendance
 Submission of the Assignment
 Review
B. Motivation
The teacher will show a picture and ask the students what it is and why it is important.

C. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation of the lesson
On this day we will discuss the things we should do to have a healthy life.
The teacher will present a Video Presentation.
2. Activity
The teacher will bring out pictures inside the Magic box and the student will do what the
person in the picture does.

3. Analysis
The teacher will ask the students if;
a. What have you observed in the given activity?
b. What idea comes to your mind?

4. Abstraction
Using the PowerPoint Presentation, the teacher will discuss the lesson.
5. Application
Role play (Healthy Habits)
The teacher will make two (2) groups and each group will be given a meta cards. Each group will
do or act what is written on the meta cards.
Group 1- Proper Hygiene
(Grooming before going to school)

Group 2- Physical Activities


(Perform some exercise)

D. Post Developmental Activity


Generalization
The teacher will ask the following question:
How can we prevent diseases
Or what are the ways we should do to prevent from various diseases?

IV. Evaluation

Evaluate your lifestyle by putting check to the box according to your daily activities. Rate 1-5.

20 – 30 Active Healthy Lifestyle
20 Below- Non-Active Healthy Lifestyle
