Introduction
Economics is the study of scarcity
and also how people manage their
money, which means it includes how
we spend the money, how we save it,
and what we use it for. Today, we
are going to present what the NPS
students use their money for and
how they handle it.
Q1 -How much allowance do you get per
month?
1,200,000
The allowance of these
students varies from 1,000,000

Rp.50.000 to Rp.1,200.000 The 800,000

average amount of allowance 600,000

these students receive is 400,000

Rp.492.000. Different students 200,000

have different financial status 0

allowance they get.
Q2 - Do you spend money online
shopping?
Most students tend to do online
shopping which is shown on the pie
chart, with 60% of them doing so.
The other 40% seems to not do No
online shopping maybe because it is 40%

time consuming due to the wait

time for it to arrive. The other 60% Yes
60%
might do online shopping due to it be
convenient and not needing to go
out. In average they spend around
Rp.275.000 online shopping
Q3 - How much savings do you
have?
This suggest that more Cellovin

students decides to save more Revano

Vincent
than spend. The range is 0k to
Sen Yen
Rp.600.000 with 0k being the
Aldrich
lowest and Rp.600.000 being
Winston
the highest. Most students Arjen
saves around Rp.200.000 to Klein
Rp.400.000 with some not Devin

saving at all. Chelsea

or needs?
Both
10%

Here we can see that more

students spend on their wants
compared to their needs. It shows Needs

that the students of NPS mostly 30%

Wants
are not responsible with their 60%

money because they spend more

on their wants. 10% of them are
balancing their spending between
needs and wants
Q5 - How much money do u spend in
the canteen?
100,000
This shows that most of the students
spends their money on the canteen 80,000

with the range, excluding the ones

that didn't spend their money on the 60,000

canteen, with Sen Yen and Arjen being

40,000
the lowest and Rp.100.000 being the
highest. This proves that the canteen
20,000
is important to the students since
nearly all of them is buying from it and 0
both food and drinks are needs.
