1. All Questions are compulsory.
2. All dimensions given in figures are in nun Assume missing data, if any, suitably.
3. Attempt the questions within the designated boxes in the AutoCAD template file.
4. Rename the AutoCAD template file (.dwg file) as your Full Roll No (e.g. 102103301.dwg) and keep o
PERIODICALLY SAVING the same on the DESKTOP in order to avoid any inadvertent loss of data.
5. Final .thvg file must be uploaded on the SUBMISSION PORTAL within the exam timing. Only uploaded file on
portal will be considered for evaluation.
6. The second page of the question paper (backside) may be used for rough work, if the roll no. is written on the
designated place on the first page.

Q1 Point C is located 40 mm above HP and divides a line AB into two equal parts. The distance
between the end projectors of points B and C is 30 mm. The FV of line AB makes an angle 30° (10:
with the horizontal. Point A is located 50 mm in front of VP. The shortest distance of point B
from the XY line is 40 mm. Draw the Front view, Top view and Left hand Side view of line
AB, assuming it to be in the first quadrant.

Q2 A picture frame 2 m wide and 1 m high is to be fixed on a wall railing by two straight wires
attached to the top corners of the frame. The railing is fixed to the wall, parallel to the floor (15,
and 1 m above it. The frame makes an angle of 40° with the wall and the wires are to be fixed
to a hook on the wall on the centre line of the frame and 1.5 m above the railing. Draw the
projections of the arrangement and determine the projected length of the wires and angle
between them.

Q3 The figure given below shows the three dimensional representation of an object. Draw the
elevation, plan and profile view of the given object, using first angle projection system. (25)

Q1 The top view length of a line AB is 58 mm. The shortest distance of point B from the XY line
is 75 mm. The distance between the projectors is 50 mm. Point B is equidistant from HP and (10)
VP. The distance of point A above HP is 70 mm. Point A is closer to VP as compared to point
B. Draw the FV, TV and LHSV of line AB. Determine the front view length and apparent
angles made with the FV and TV of the line.

Q2 A chimney of height 20 m is supported by a set of three ropes. The ropes are attached to the
chimney at 2 m from the top and are anchored 3m above the ground at a distance 10 m from (15)
the axis of the chimney. Draw the projections of the ropes if the anchor points are due north,
south-east and south west of the chimney. Find the true length and slope in relation to the
ground of one of the ropes. (The chimney and ropes may be considered as lines for the
projections). A suitable scale may be used.

Q3 Figure 1 shows the pictorial view of an object. Draw its front view, top view and right hand
side view (arrow shows the front viewing direction). Use first angle projection system. (25)
