I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and
Standards other text types serve as means of enhancing the self; also how to use
processing, assessing, summarizing information, word derivation and
formation strategies, appropriate word order, punctuation marks and
interjections to enable him/her to participate actively in a speech choir..
B. Performance The learner actively participates in a speech choir through using effective
Standards verbal and non-verbal strategies based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice,
Delivery, Facial Expressions, Body Movements/ Gestures and Audience
Contact.

Competencies Analyze literature as a means of understanding unchanging values in the
VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world.

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Define what values and unchanging values are;


2. Identify common personalities/ unchanging values of the Filipinos; and
3. Share one’s unchanging values/personalities through a sketch activity and
written output.

New Lesson
Welcome the class with a friendly
atmosphere by setting up a greeting-gesture
wall. Ask students to line up and take turns
tapping the wall while demonstrating their
preferred way of greeting the teacher.

After greeting the teacher, instruct the


students to gather materials for the activity,
"My Mood Tree." Using their colored pens,
students will color the leaves of the trees
according to their corresponding mood.
