VII. COURSE REQUIREMENTS, ASSIGNED REPORTS OR PROJECTS

Handouts and Website

Handouts are provided in class with exercises and problems which should be submitted on the preferred deadline.
The handouts can be photocopied if you opt not to pay the printing services. Class announcements, some notes,
additional problems and web links are provided on the website (http://buchem.weebly.com). You may also send
messages and inquiry on the site.

Calculator and Microsoft Excel

All students are required to bring their own nonprogrammable calculator. No quiz or exam shall be given to students
without calculators. Only calculators that are allowed by PRC (http://www.prc.gov.ph/articles.asp?sid=31&aid=3390)
should be used. Bringing a laptop is not a requirement, however it would be useful in learning to use the
spreadsheets applied to analytical chemistry problems.

VIII. SYSTEM OF COMPUTING GRADES

Lowest passing score of 50% is equivalent to 3.0. Only major exams shall be given a makeup provided you have an
excuse letter explaining your absence and/or medical certificate if you were ill.

Diagnostic Exam 20%
