students at Timoteo Paez Integrated School. They are the study's respondents, and without their

assistance and participation, the study could not be finished. As such, they play a crucial role in

the study.

believing in us and telling us that we can achieve great things, for which we are very grateful.

Introduction

This study is all about academic pressure on selected grade 10 students in Timoteo

Paez integrated Academic pressure due to loaded school work for Grade 10 students. Its

hard for grade 10 to do all the loaded School work that teacher gave because we have

our own responsibility in our own houses And Of course in school a Lot of school work

give us, as a student a pressure and so much task that we must finish it’s so hard for

student to Finish that On Times and sometimes we didn’t sleep just to do our school

works and as grade 10 student we all Know that it’s not that easy to do are loaded

school Works we also have some activities to do we basically just go With the flow

because we need and we must do our school works and homework there’s a Lot of

pressure on us, As a grade 10 because it’s not easy To do and to attend to simultaneous

and overlapping tasking.

Academic pressure has a significant impact on the academic performance of grade

twelve students. Studies have shown that academic stress can have both positive and

negative effects on academic achievement. There is an “inverted U-shaped” relationship

between academic performance and academic stress, where appropriate levels of stress can

promote performance, but excessive stress can have a negative impact. Additionally,

parental pressure for better academic performance can contribute to increased stress levels

among students. The authoritarian parenting style, characterized by high expectations, can

lead to stress and negatively affect academic achievement It is recommended that students

receive ongoing support and motivation to build self-esteem and realize their capabilities,

which can help alleviate the negative effects of academic pressure. Overall, academic
pressure plays a crucial role in shaping the academic performance of grade 10 students,

and it Is important to create a supportive and balanced learning environment to mitigate

its negative effects.

The academic pressure of students is a hot issue concerned by the school, family

and all walks of life. Academic pressure will have a lot of impact on students

psychology, physiology and so on, and then affect their academic performance. The study

of the influence of academic pressure on academic achievement can help the society to

correctly view the relationship between stress and achievement, provide the basis for

reducing the burden and reducing pressure, and create a better learning environment.

Based on the data of Philippines education tracking survey, this paper discusses the

relationship between academic achievement and academic pressure, and analyzes the

heterogeneity of different student groups. The study found that there is a "inverted U-

shaped" relationship between academic performance and academic stress, appropriate

academic stress can promote academic performance, when the stress exceeds a certain

critical value, it has a negative impact on academic performance; at the same time, the

compressive ability of boys is stronger than that of girls, and the Anti-stress ability of

urban students is stronger than that of rural students.


Statement of problem

The study is focused on the effects of academic pressure mental wellbeing

selected on grade 10 students in TIMOTEO PAEZ integrated school year of 2023-2024

Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:

1)what are the causes of academic pressure on mental wealth wellbeing?

2)what are the effects of the academic pressure in grade 10 students?

3)how does the academic pressure affect mental wellbeing of grade 10 students?
Scope and Limitation of the Study

This study focused on the effects of academic pressure mental wellbeing selected on

grade 10 students in TIMOTEO PAEZ integrated school year of 2023-2024. The

respondents of the study were composed of 225 randomly selected grade 10 students which

comprise 25% of the total population.

The researchers considered working on this study to find out if there’s the effects of

academic pressure mental wellbeing selected on grade 10 students in TIMOTEO PAEZ

integrated school and to assess the pressure of academic into the mental wellbeing of the

students.
Significance of the Study

The study focused on explaining the effects of academic pressure mental wellbeing

selected on grade 10 students in TIMOTEO PAEZ integrated school year of 2023-2024 .

Moreover, the results of the study will be beneficial to the following:

Respondents. The respondents will have an awareness on the pressure in mental

wellbeing of the students’ academic.

Teachers. The result of the study will help the teachers provide appropriate ways or ideas

on how to provide proper guidance to the student who experience mental problems due to the

pressure.

Guidance. The result of the study may provide data that is needed to facilitate and

conduct special guidance program to the students of Timoteo paez who had academic pressure

that affects their mental being.

Parents. Ther result of the study will help the parents of the respondents to aid and

guidance on how to help their children to handle academic pressure so their mental wellbeing

will be protected.
Future readers. The findings of the study will serve as a reference materials and a guide

for future researchers who wish to conduct the same experiment study or any study related to the

effects of academic pressure mental wellbeing

Definition of terms

Academic – Refers to the place emphasizing studying.

Wellbeing – a state of feeling healthy or unhealthy.

Pressure – a circumstance that produces immediate action about the need in a timely manner.

Respondents – refers to a selected person of the research which replies to something such as

survey or set of questions from the researcher.

Assistance – an action to do something by helping.
