COURSE DESCRIPTION :
This course is designed for prospective teachers to develop and use digital and
non-digital teaching-learning resources using technology tools appropriate in various
subject areas at the elementary level. Further, the course will provide opportunities for
students to use technology tools to develop project-based collaborative activities and
share resources among communities of practice.

FINAL COURSE OUTPUT:

Midterm Project: Every student is required to formulate a 30-minute lesson plan on a


topic of their choice. Subsequently, they will produce a 15-30 minute video recording of
demonstration teaching following the lesson plan they have made.

Final Project. Each student will choose a partner and a topic from the syllabus. The
chosen pairs will collaboratively create a comprehensive lesson plan for their selected
topic. During the class, one student will elucidate the details of the lesson plan, while
the other will conduct the actual presentation as part of their practice teaching. Both
students are expected to incorporate technology into their presentations. Submit the
following

Class Policies:
1. You are expected to observe and follow the University rules and regulations.

2. All students must attend classes promptly and regularly. Only students enrolled
in the course are allowed to attend the sessions, sit-ins may be allowed
depending on the instructor’s approval. A student shall be marked tardy 15
minutes after the set time and absent after 20 minutes of the scheduled time,
unless the instructor have prior notice of his/her absence or tardiness. Lastly,
unless the subject instructor concerned gave prior notice, the students may leave
their assigned room 15 minutes after the start of the scheduled time. (see F.
Attendance, BulSU Student Handbook)

3. In consideration of the trying economic and environmental challenges posed by


the forthcoming face to face classes, the university will provisionally allow
students who are yet to procure their respective uniforms to use comfortable and
decent civilian wear for the 2nd Semester of A.Y. 2022-2023. Students, however,
who wish to regularly wear their uniforms during this period are allowed and
encouraged to do so during the prescribed days of the week (Monday, Tuesday
and Thursday, Wednesday – washday and sleeveless, shorts, rip jeans are not
allowed, and Friday – organization shirt day and only Org Shirt is allowed).
Furthermore, male students must sport a haircut that does not exceed the collar
line and does not cover the ears. Wearing of earrings for the male is prohibited
and for female student’s excessive jewelries’ and make-up aren’t allowed as well.

4. During written examinations, class presentations, laboratory activities and term


examinations the students must be in the prescribed uniform or the instructor
may refuse to give the student the written or practical activities. Students must
refrain from talking to their seatmates, answering phone calls and text messages
and listening to music through their earphones while taking the written exam or
laboratory activities. No students can use the restroom/lavatory unless necessary
during the examination.

5. If proven guilty of cheating, your work will automatically earn a grade of 5.0.
Disciplinary measures as mandated by the College and University shall be
enforced.

6. During classroom discussions, the student must refrain from making too much
noise, the use of electronic gadgets like cell phones, laptops, and tablets are not
allowed. On the other hand, they are encouraged to observe courtesy and
cooperation, listen attentively, and participate actively in all class activities.

7. Students are not allowed to stay in the classroom earlier than 15 minutes and
later than 15 minutes before and after their class schedule.

8. For unavailable circumstances such as sickness or death of an immediate family,


a medical certificate authorized by a physician or an excuse letter with a
photocopy of parents’ identification card should be submitted on the day of
return to school, hence, absent students will not be given special long tests or
experiments. However, major examinations (Midterm and Final Term) will be
given only to those who were able to present valid excuse slips signed by their
parents, guardians, and/or physicians.

9. Always maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and laboratory
and observe proper handling of equipment, tools and chemicals used in the
experiments
