CHARACTERISTICS OF LIVING THINGS

 M: Movement; Ability to walk, move or track the movement.
 R: Respiration; A chemical reaction that happens within cells to release energy
from food.
 S: Sensitivity; The ability to detect changes in the surrounding environment.
 G: Growth; All living things grow.
 R: Reproduction; The ability to reproduce and pass genetic information onto their
offspring.
 E: Excretion; Get ridding of waste.
 N: Nutrition; The intake and use of nutrients. This occurs in very different ways in
different kinds of living things.
