Automatic Semen Freezing Tank Design

Introduction

Bull semen may be kept safe for short or extended periods of time with the help of the

common cryopreservation technique, which also makes it easier to transfer the semen doses.

Avoiding crystallization and cell dehydration is the aim of the cryopreservation procedure. Ice

crystals outside the cell may form as the freeze point temperature is approached, leading to an

osmotic imbalance inside the cell. By regulating the cooling rate, the negative effects of

dehydration and crystallization can be reduced. Semen Freezing Machine is necessary for the

cryopreservation technique. A standardized freezing process including the machine is crucial for

efficient production of cryopreserved bull semen.

Technical Background:

Utilizing nitrogen vapour-based programmable semen freezers has the goal of achieving

a regulated and standard freezing procedure while maintaining the highest level of bull semen

quality. Unfortunately, the majority of these freezers only have one fan and one liquid nitrogen

intake. In actuality, this is a design that generates an inadequately vapor circulation throughout

the chamber at a variable speed and temperature. Due to the ever-increasing temperature

variations in big freezing chambers, this causes the production of warm and cold areas

depending on where the straws are placed in the freezing chamber.

Four turbo injection valves with fans within this freezing tank provide a strong nitrogen

vapor stream that is made to forcefully flow horizontally through the straw-holding racks. The

precise temperature control in conjunction with the predetermined speed of this vapor stream

causes the entire batch of straws to cool and freeze in accordance with predetermined

patterns.
This freezing tank has a dual-operation lid, which uses inserted sliding covers to prevent

the loss of cold vapor while handling rack loading and unloading.

The second full cover, which is supported by air pressure cylinders, makes it possible to

handle racks and straws in an ergonomic manner. Inside the freezing chamber, there is plenty

of room to unload racks and put straws in goblets.
