1960.

 They were a very influential band, rooted in skiffle, beat, and
1950s rock and roll.

The Beatles later experimented with several musical styles: pop ballads
and Indian music, psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating
classical elements and unconventional recording techniques in innovative
ways.

The Beatles composed 24 albums and many compilations sold in more

than 40 milion copies.
 There are a lot of funny facts about the Beatles:

1. John grew up near a place called Strawberry Fields in Liverpool.

2. Ringo’s real name is Richard Starkey.

3. The first lyrics to “Yesterday” were “scrambled eggs.”

4. The BBC banned "I Am the Walrus."
